I would have been happy if Steve had won, he didn't, I'm still happy with the winning act. it's all good.”

There's already an American dance company that's been doing this stuff infinitely better.

I didn't enjoy tonight's performance as much as their other two, because it seemed a little patronising and engineered, but they're still amazing to watch. After tonight I would've preferred Steve to win but it's only a light entertainment programme and I'm sure I'll get over it

To be honest I was absolutely shocked Attraction won - I thought they'd manage 3rd at best.

I seriously can't believe the voters chose that guff as the winner, mind you these are the same voters that picked a dog last year...

I don't recall that anyone did.

The British public voted them as the winners, so I can't see what the problem is?

I was more bothered when last year's show was won by a dog doing a very average display of obedience training. Lets face it, Britain doesn't really have much talent judging by the acts put forward each year - that's why I'd change the programme title!

My step dad said, while Attraction were performing, that there was NO chance of them being in the top 3 let alone win and he said he'd eat a hat of my choosing if they'd win I'm picking out the hat as we speak

Let's be honest they only won because of their first audition.

Their performance was a bit too opportunistic for me tonight; I much preferred Steve. But overall they have been a breath of fresh air this year.

Hopefully a shadow act, a comedian and a ventriloquist finishing in the top four places will convince other talented variety acts to give the show a go.

So, who did?

And besides, no point complaining now, it's already happened.

I don't get why Simon was surprised at their win. Doesn't he know they were the favorites to win from the beginning?

I don't think their third performance was up to scratch either; they should have reprised the first one IMO. Frankly, it was rather dull, not to mention somewhat patronising to just mention the Queen and show us our flag (I loved the first two BTW).

As a result, according to the voting figures they unarguably lost a lot of support last night, because in a number of big Polls prior to the Final (10,000+ voters), Attraction had almost 50% and Jack had about 15%. So, although a bit of their support probably went to Steve, I suggest that quite a lot just dissipated because they were so disappointing.

I mean, in the end Attraction got 27% and Jack 20%, so it was a lot closer than it should have been, and I bet all the Attraction punters are now breathing a massive sigh of relief!

Apart from the blatant patriotic guff and Olympics mention, I didn't think it was a particulary good routine compared to their last 2.
I only wanted Steve and Arthur to win.
So its a blessing the god awful Francine or kids didn't win.

Oh dear...

Still... they did a lot better than the guy from Notfunnia.

Whilst I agree that tonight's was poor by comparison, they are impeccable at what they do and along with Francine's, Asanda's and Steve's semi performances, their Footprints In The Sand is probably the best single performance of the series and possibly of the whole show across all the series. They definitely deserve it.

I do think though that if they hadn't done the whole patriotic thing and their routine was of that standard, they wouldn't have won (god forbid, imagine if Jack Carroll had won!)

Last refuge of the scoundrel and all that.

Have to admit, I was cleaning the vomit from my shoes after their performance last night, yet upon reflection the utter cynicism of it, taking the British public for a bunch of idiots and being proved right to the tune of £250k, made the whole venture far more endearing

I didn't think their performance last night was anywhere near as good as the first two, but I was glad a variety act won.

That is almost identical to what Attraction do, how you got "infinitely better" is a bit of a puzzle!

Though that's largely irrelevant within the context of BGT : none of the other acts in the final were 'original' either so Attraction should only be judged on what they did on the show and whether they were good at it (and I think they were).

Yes, there was and they were much better. Having said that I still think Attraction deserved to win.

The fact they are not from the UK is not important to me - people from other countries enter X-factor, American Idol and America's Got Talent - it's hardly a new thing.

I think if the whole series is taken into account then they did deserve the win, their first two performances were in my opinion the best two performances of anyone in the entire series. However on the final I didn't enjoy their performance as much, I much preferred their emotional, storytelling pieces. On the night I thought several others were better - my favourite was Steve which surprised me, but he really raised his game.

I would say the best act ever from any series. The bookies were betting who would come second to them so it was fairly obvious they were going to win.
