Simon will make millions from them in Las Vegas.

They just rehashed their audition song - pretty poor - considering Steve managed to get "Sinitta" made up with 3 days notice. Think that might have lost them votes.

Anyway thought it was pretty disrespectful of Simon to have a face like a slapped arse when Attraction won. Shouldn't have bigged them up and given them pimp slot if they didn't want them to win. David didn't look to delighted either. Thought it all came over as quite rude.

I thought he just seemed shocked and thought Jack might have won.

They can carry a show in Vegas, where the big money is. The bore fest which is Circle Whatever is raking it in. Put a shadow show on but this time showing how 'wonderful' the US is and Simon will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Agree on Vegas.

I think Steve Hewlett should have won, but even if he didnt, I'm 99.9% sure he can become big on his own, can't he?
He is pretty good, and I'd pay to watch him, and go to his shows, Jeff Dunham has competition!

as for Jack, We'd probably see him on Michael Mcintyres comedy road show or live at the Apollo on a Friday night!

It's kind of funny how Simon thinks he can influence the voting with little comments such as 'There's going to be a shock tonight, I've just got that feeling', then saying that he hopes Jack wins, then saying he's not sure what's going to happen.

He didn't seem too ecstatic with the result so maybe he should stop thinking he can have an impact on the voting and just let it be.

When 3 of the judges said after jacks performance I hope you WIN. I really thought that could of made an impact because the odds for jack were odds on when last 3 were made. Jack cost me 3 grand

Exactly. His ego knows no bounds. If he doesn't want the public to have a say, then he should change the rules, but, hey, that would mean no revenue from telephone votes.

I saw that face like a slapped ass Don't know why them winning warranted one though, played right and they will make millions. Plus he pimped them out to the max so what does he expect?! I think he underestimated the power of simplicity and how it can touch people.

I think he's probably enough of a control freak to really believe that people should do what he wants them to do.
If something is out of his control then he doesn't like it.

Last night reminded me of similar faces when Jai McDowall and Diversity won.

It's disappointing that he wasn't literally gutted.

He should have put them on first and Jack on last if he wanted Jack to win. Also why have foreigners compete?

Lack of genuinely talented people in Britain? The well has run dry as they say

Yeah - he's never got over it! He doesn't go for 'People Power', I believe he has chosen every winner since. Did you notice the remark he made about one of Will's songs being used in one of the acts (can't remember which one, now) but he said the backing music (Will singing) was horrible. Doesn't miss a chance, does he?
Get over it Simon - Will won Pop Idol fair and square. He's gone on to have a great career - more than can be said for Cowell's choice of winners.

he doesn't want Attraction because he can't control/manage them

let's face it, what can he teach them about shadowing?

actually what can he teach 15 year old irish boys about singing?

I remember it well
Like Jack, GG was bolstered a bit with sympathy votes but Will was clearly the more entertaining singer of the 2

Simon Cowell doesn't support real talent who have their own mind and identity. He surrounds himself with the Serfs who are prepared to bow down to him and are prepared to treat him like he is Lord of the Manner.

He invests heavily in the marketing of these 'products' to ensure his quasi music guru position in the Music Industry. Yes the stadiums are filled but with people who are not there for talent, musical or singing. Just those who need a sense of belonging to something spectacularly successful. The type eventually reach their twenties and realise they have been watching a production of The Emporer's New Clothes.

What is that about quality being better than quantity?

Like Peter Stringfellow, Cowell is an embarrassment and nothing to crow about. Very tacky.

Hardly true..as he was over the moon when `Ashleigh and Pudsey ` won

^ Unfortunately, he was not quite elated enough to do the dance with them that he had apparently promised if they won!

In fairness, the Cowell creature doesn`t have the faintest clue about actual talent.

I agree with others that Simon looked a little disappointed. He may not have been in reality, who knows, but he did look it. What I don't understand is why he would be, considering he gave them the last performing slot each time they performed - therefore giving them a greater chance.

He wouldn't have recruited them to the show (after seeing The Silhouettes on America's Got Talent the year before) if he wasn't firm on thinking they were marketable for his needs. And he wouldn't have gone endlessly defending how the competition was okay for people from anywhere as long as it was the best talent--he would have just ignored the issue and tossed in some barb about it being sappy or too much or cliched. He was prepared for them to do well, and I'm sure that included them possibly winning. He's not a nitwit (well other than in how he casts his show's judging panels).
