I'm one of the few to have never seen that film.

Is that the film with Alphavilles 'Forever Young' in it?.

Another forgotten 80's classic.

Yes! And two different endings which some people don't know about. I only noticed when I watched it a second time and they rode off on a white horse....I was looking at my glass of fizzy orange made from my Soda Stream and wondering what was going on. A strange but funny little film that you'll either love or hate but I loved it.

I would rather they changed the name of the show than excluded high-quality acts. I would prefer to watch something with artistic merit regardless of nationality, than something British regardless of merit, any day of the week.

The was no act in the whole process this year that was anything like it, Comedians...meh. So-so impressionists...meh.”

It depends what you mean by Britain. If it's an abbreviation of Great Britain, then it shouldn't include any part of Ireland; but if it's an abbreviation of British Isles, then it would include both Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic. The sad thing is that the winning act didn't seem to know which way up the Union Flag should go.

So should anyone who does not live in Wimbledon be excluded from the tennis championships? That might give Uncle Bulgarian a chance! at least!

But surely, all auditionees have to be based in Britain?

To be honest that could apply to plenty of Britons too.

If the rules say it they should be allowed. If people really had a problem they wouldn't have voted.

I don't mind non Brits taking part and even winning but I do think that they should at least live here. That way we could still call it Britain's got talent.

I don't understand all these analogies people are making.

95% of the world's population are exempt from entering BGT next series.

Why not, just in the end the foreign act won on patriotic sucking up rather than doing their best routine.

I don't see the problem, an English man has won French X Factor and an English woman has won Chinese X Factor.

of course half the population of the UK don't have a problem with it - its because half of them don't even have British roots.

I have no idea WHY people have voted yes for. It's called Britain's Got Talent, not The World's Got Talent. This show's rules are just getting stupider as the years go by.

They don't have their country's name in the title though, that's the difference.

Wimbledon doesn't state that it's looking for people from Wimbledon, Britain's Got Talent does state that it's looking for people from Britain though.

Perhaps we should extent the rules on entry so that not only must you be a British resident or of British nationality but also you are an act who wants to work on the British scene.

Because whilst you can safely doubt their nationality you cannot doubt their willingness to be a part of the British variety act world. They have chosen us to base their career as a silhouette theatre group. They could have gone to America where they probably would have earned a hell of a lot more and made a better quality of life for themselves, or anywhere in Europe or Australia but they chose Britain and I think we should just embrace foreign acts wherever they come from..

Agreed, but we shouldn't let them enter a show that should be reserved for British acts.
