After all it is an australian tournement so perhaps tomic and hewitt should just play for the mens trophy and stosur and dellaqa for the ladies.......

Oh wait, its in the rules that people from outside Australia can qualify and win......similar to the bgt rules

Best act won and were within the rules to win.get over it!!!

I don't believe that Australians are allowed to enter BGT. The only reason that Hungarians are is because they are in Europe and EU law prevents us from stopping foreigners working here by entering shows like BGT.

Very good point.
Personally can't see what all the fuss is about.
Also, what seems to be going over the angry souls head's...is that the BRITISH public voted for the winning act.

Laura Robson was born in Australia so of course she should be allowed. Andy Murray I agree with.

If it was called Britain's Got Talent 'Open' (look the word up it you are unsure), your argument would be valid.

swap the australian open with the many other tennis tournaments around the world that dont have the word "open" in the title(if you can manage it) and so my point is now valid?

cheers

Ae those tennis tournaments around the world described as looking for the best talent from the country they're being held in? What? No?

I'm not bothered that an Hungarian act won, just more bothered they won with their worst routine.

International sporting events just happen to have some that are traditionally held in a country. Its not about the country.
Silly comparison.

I haven't seen outrage like this since last year when someone from Hartlepool won Bognor's Got Talent!
