Confusing! So are you saying that the title equates to "There is talent in Britain", which could refer to foreigners in the country, rather than "There is British talent"?
It's not confusing. There is no debate as to what the apostrophe and 's' mean. The 'Got' does not belong to Britain.

The title is ambiguous and can be interpreted either way. I would think it is talking about the country and not the people.

If it was specifically talking about the people it would be 'Britons Got Talent.'

Come on. Tell the truth, its got up a lot of peoples nose etc. that Johnny Foreigner has won a contest VOTED by British voters..

Having said that, `Reaction` were very good and does demonstrate that the rest of Europe are realising where the very best are performing..

It does not matter if a non-British contestant won or not. It is completely irrelevant to BGT.

BGT is all about Simon Cowell and those other 3 stooges Amanda Holden David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.

Those 4 are the reason why BGT is so awful. Fake, fake, fake.

A huge round applause to the egg throwing girl. Fair play to her.

I think you should be proud that they chose Britain to come to to audition. It show's how respected your show is all around Europe.

They day someone flies to Ireland specifically to audition for one of our "talent" shows is they day I'll eat my hat!!!

Funny.. I swear I was watching them on a British stage. SO how are they not working in Britain?
But they don't live in Britain, they don't contribute to taxes in Britain, they aren't British. They won a talent show which is about Britain.

I've tried to tell them that. Apparently rehearsing is considered working.

That one beats me I'm afraid.

...but, but, but that wouldn't be grammatically correct! It'd have to be 'Britons Have Talent'.

As the nternational franchise is '...Got Talent', 'Britain's Got Talent' could translate as meaning the British version of Got Talent.

I'm starting to over-analyse this...
