Right, so they had to travel a whole two and a half hours. If they were actually serious about their act none of them would moan about travelling to get themselves recognised.

It was more the "reveal" that producers ship in acts to venues that fail to attract the performers they wish. How they sell an image that is far from the reality.

I am sure most here will react with "of course they do, everyone knew that already!!!"., but I am not sure most people do, and even if they did always best to get confirmation.

The world of reality TV is terrible and exploitive. I know, we know, everybody knows it's an awful place to be but this doesn't mean you stamp on other people out there and attack others out there looking for a break in life.

Not sure why she threw the eggs apart from the obvious reason that a lot of people don't like Simon Cowell's use of reality TV but did something more than that happen that we don't know about?

If she had written the blog with some consideration that she had learned from the experience and not attacking so many people who were just doing their job and making a wage then I could sympathise more. I do sympathise with people who go on these shows but it's difficult to sympathise with somebody who just loses their rag at everybody but loses their rag with aggression and condescension.

Sad, If you've got a protest, don't run the whole of society through the rubbish too!!”

And mentioning the fact there were Welsh fans in Cardiff
What did she expect? And making out we're a right nasty bunch

I found it quite funny that the blog post complained about how they all lived in london and then went on to say that they all met up in a service station. Such a tight quartet aren't they, travelling separately to gigs. A view that is further reinforced by the twitter post claiming that the other three were working without her last night and couldn't be arsed to watch their 4th member on tv

That Blog was very boring.

So whats the point of this show, its fake obviously the people turning up at auditions aren't good or diverse enough so they are scouting for acts and inviting them. The Shadow dancing group were probibly invited to the show. The only real thing on last nights show was this girls protest and egg throwing, or was it? Facts are Cowel is so fake he could have staged it, the first half of the show was a drag, the best acts came at the finish.

BGT is, as stated in the blog, gladiatorial combat for a modern age. A circus for the masses. It's fun to watch, but there is also an air of exploitation about it. How is it condescending to tell it like it is?

As professional classical musicians they won't just perform together. They are probably also members of orchestras etc. It's only when you make it big that you'll constantly work in the same lineup.

ROFL!

It is called making a point.

The Suffragettes did this effectively (may have even thrown a few eggs) and they exposed complete mental stupidity and exploitation of a sector of the public in Great Britain at the time.

The egg thrower is exposing complete mental stupidity and exploitation too.

Nothing mental about it.

Personally thought it was better than RATM campaign against his beloved XF. All SC did following that was continue to promote more senseless untalented acts which were his and strive to humiliate the public's choices.

Hmmmm. Will we get a repeat of that?

In what way is she a legend? I find it bizarre that people are effectively condoning what she did! It was an incredibly stupid and selfish act and certainly not worthy of praise or words like 'legend'.

Can't understand why it was an "incredibly stupid and selfish act".

Protestors do it all the time - it has been shown to be very effective.

Hope Richard and Adam get loads of views on youtube because of it and I am sure Nicola does too.

The only mental stupidity being exposed is the egg thrower's! Comparing her to Suffragettes is laughable! They were trying to get the vote for women, while this silly moo was hacked off because she volenterily auditioned for a TV talent show and was unhappy with her treatment!

She's flushed her career (which she will have trained years for) down the toilet. Well done, you silly woman!

Yet another poster who hadn't heard of her yesterday but is discussing her today, and calls that a bad career move.

Actually her blog is very witty and an interesting insight into the workings of the Cowell factory.

I am trying to read the rest of part 2 of the blog but the 'read more' link is dead.

Having read her blog, the egg throwing incident makes complete sense.

People protest about all kinds of things that are close to their hearts - SC gets a much too easy ride as it is and is far too powerful in the music industry. This won't change anything there, but at least she has made her stand and got her message across.

Time will tell whether she has done her career any harm, but my opinion is that it will have the opposite effect - the work will now come rolling in!

The blog is actually written by another member of The Raven quartet, not Natalie Holt. They all feel very much the same.

Moaning about how BGT offers "overnight success" one second... then bitching and moaning because they had to go to Cardiff, wait around for a bit and... gasp... pretend to talk to other contestants.

Of course they had a miserable experience. They're bitter about their failures in life and went into the whole process with total contempt for the show. Hardly a winning attitude.

We've all seen the show and anyone with a modicum of intelligence (so, not Natalie Holt) knows what is expected. It continues to amaze me how many people think TV just happens by accident.

Keiō Line and edEx thank you. Intelligent and reasoned responses both.. That is exactly what Rachel was putting across (in a very well written blog IMO). Not whiny but adding an insiders flavour to how professionals that are invited on to the show see it. And that is the big thing. They were sought out it was never their "dream gig" and they went through all kinds nod conflict in their minds before doing it. Then.... To all those that say well you know what your getting into? have you actually read what was written? That is acknowledged up front.

Nice to see that Ant and Dec are still good guys all in.
