The Royal Variety Performance has already seen a shadow performance act, very similar to Attraction. Actually, a few parts of Attraction's audition seem to be almost copied from this act.

From the RVP in 2009:

So who's better, Pilobolus or Attraction?

Excellent find - how soon we forget. I believe Attraction are better but that was 4 years ago and no doubt that act - if still performing would be a lot better now

There was also another similar act on the U.S version a couple of years ago that did quite well. Perhaps that's why they were asked on in the first place!

^ Yep, The Silhouettes, who made the 2011 final of America's Got Talent. I thought of them as soon as I saw Attraction's audition. For me though, Attraction were better.

We've had other opera singers, dancers etc on the Royal Variety Performance as well as the winners.

I think Attraction are better than these, and Silhouettes. The story-telling side to it is so beautiful.

I thought the Silhouettes on AGT were so cheesy. And they kind of cheated as well in the live shows as they'd form a vague silhouette of a landmark, and then their silhouette would be covered up by an artificial one to show what they were trying to represent. It's difficult to explain in words but if you watch their final performance you'll see what I mean.
