I was thinking about an ex for no apparent reason just now She had a dog that must have long ago carked it. What do you do with the thing? I mean, if it was a small one I can see you could just dig a wee hole and toss it in there. What about if it's a Great Dane or summat? You'd need a digger. Or do you just stand it up by the bins and hope it gets collected whilst it's still stiff?

You could have it cryogenically frozen.

Was the dog called Walt?

A friend of mine's dog died and she was taking with a friend to a place for it to be cremated, they were struggling to get the heavy suitcase off a tube train when someone stole the case from them. They never found out what happened to the ex dog.

I think there might be services available that one could call, who come and collect the body perhaps?

For a fee the vet disposes of it.
My sisters wee dog was disposed of this way. Unfortunately her husband 4 days later saw the poor dead dog hanging of the teeth of the digger at the local tip when he was dumping stuff . Its illegal for vets to dispose of them like that now, and they are cremated.

One would take it to one's vet and arrange for a cremation, communal or individual depending on how much was in the purse. One would not be trying to literally push up the daisies with it on one's lawn.

If you're on a low wage/benefits The Blue Cross will collect dead pets for a donation.

One laughed out loud at this reply. One is amused

Mmm, I've Googled dead dog disposal and some seem to suggest taking it to the vet. I imagine he'd take one look at it suggest the regular flea check may not be necessary.

Burn it, bury it or dump it.

Is one planning a cull of one's Facebook friends again?

I haven't spoken to her for about 15 years. Maybe I should track her down and ask what she did with the mouldy beast.

I have buried all of our pets when their quality of life deteriorated beyond what was acceptable, I believe its an offence now with larger animals and they must be cremated, its's quite expensive now apparently. I once had a dead Horse taken away by the local hunt, I don't know if they still do it, does anyone know.

Buried alive? Seems a bit harsh
