I read on another place someone saying their mum's dog had just pegged it. Her horse kicked it in the chops apparently. He was wondering to do with it as she was sitting on the sofa stroking it's rapidly stiffening body. The helpful suggestion was - wait till she goes up to the loo then stand it up in the hall facing the bathroom door for when she comes out.

For a fee the vet disposes of it.
My sisters wee dog was disposed of this way. Unfortunately her husband 4 days later saw the poor dead dog hanging of the teeth of the digger at the local tip when he was dumping stuff ![]() . Its illegal for vets to dispose of them like that now, and they are cremated. |

There's always the River Thames.
Spare a thought for the helper having to explain to the nursery class walking back to their Greenwich school from Mudshute Farm though. 'miss, what's that big boat? 'thats a dredger clearing up river rubbish' ',and what about that building?' 'that's the Millennium Dome' 'and what about that thing floating in the river?' 'thats a dead dog!' |

What a sick thread! Hope it gets deleted! There are people on here who actually care about their dogs and this is most insensitive!

The vet treating the dog will usually offer disposal if it dies. Though it's usually incineration.
When our dog died we dug a hole in the garden and buried him. You've got to go deep though as you don't want anything unpleasant resurfacing in the course of future gardening (digging flower beds / planting etc.) |

Make use of it
Such as this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Kslv7l75jQ Edit: My dog died early last year and it still upsets me. Yet sometimes you need to lighten the load. |
