Nostalgia foods
What foods do you have a craving for to take you back to the old days. In another thread I mentioned these Quote:
For some reason the other week I had a nostalgic feel for a turkey escolape with cheese. but another one that I did have a couple of month back is tinned hamburgers. Used to have them all the time when I was a kid. I couldn't find them in any supermarket. They had basic breaded chicken/turkey but none with the cheese (or cheese & bacon/ham) under the breading. ![]() I know it's not a push to add a cheese sauce on top or even buy a parmo but it was the original that I was looking for. They're very soft and in gravy. They make a good sloppy burger. I like them in Wurburtons sliced buns. |

Veal parmesan. Veal eaten into escalopes, dipped in egg and crushed cornflakes, mixed with tons of parmesan and fried in real butter, then smothered in home made tomato sauce thick with oregano and covered with mozzarella - heaven in a mouthful.
Yes I know I could use turkey escalopes but they simply don't taste the same |

[/QUOTE] Bernard Matthews do breaded turkey burgers with the cheese inside, I ate them a lot as a kid too they taste just like i remember but with a little less cheese
