I got to have a play with iOS 7 today at work, and i do really like it. But whats funny is that NONE of the changes are original. They are all copies of either Android or even Windows phone 8 . Seriously, apple is now copying even Windows phone 8!.

And Windows 8 is a shocker so I'm surprised anybody would copy it.

I think iOS7 looks really nice and has some good features (which, quite frankly I don't care if Android have them, I've never used Android so it matters not a jot to me).
What an hilarious blinkered customer you are.

I dont have windows 8, but we were comparing them in the office side by side and the messaging looks identical now.

Three sales number will be going straight on that list once I'm on iOS7
Can you not already block numbers on iOS 6?

Finally got it installed this evening. Must say I'm finding it refreshing. Nice animations and transitions. Generally feels very responsive. It's a little over colourful in places though, and some of the narrow fonts used now aren't so easy on the eye. Shame iTunes radio appears to be US only at present.

I'm tempted to try and get it now I suppose because I really do like the look of it, but part of the reason I moved away from Android is because I wanted to get away from farting around with custom roms.

(and yes, i know you don't have to .. but . )

I did read of a way earlier to downgrade back to iOS 6 if there are any problems so I don't know .. it's tempting .

Have you ever even used a windows 8 phone? They have probably the most fun, easy to use and user friendly os's out there.

You either have an iPhone 4S or 5, don't you? A mate has it on his iPhone 4, and it is far from smooth (although he likes it, and its good for a beta). The overall look and response is similar to a cheap Android device with a pastel skin.

If you're part of the apple developer program you can download the beta and flash it - I read that there's a way of paying around $8 dollars US to join it I think.

Or Symbian or webOS (which is where the card style multi tasking was first seen).

Yep. It's an iPhone 5. But so were all the demo units at WWDC.

What an hilarious blinkered customer you are.
When I have an iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, my wife has an iPhone, virtually all the people I communicate with regularly have an Iphone and or an iPad, it would cause me such a hassle to move to another platform, why would I bother when i have seen nothing to wow me on those.

Also, the amount of money I have spent on apps and accessories means I would have to re-buy, money I don't particularly want to spend.

Having a pick and mix approach to OSs across multiple devices is not, in my opinion, getting best value. The extra value (which often is unquantifiable) comes from intra-OS syncing across devices. I would have the same attitude if I was in a Android or Windows environment. Is it blinkered? You may say so, but I'm fully aware of what other OSs can do, and as I say, they may be classed as "better" by some but there's not enough to want to make me move.

Well, you post makes it sound like your the one losing out tbh. Not even known what the competition has and you dont even care is exactly whats blinkered about it. You are so deep in the Apple ecosystem you cant even look at competition because you are locked in so deep. The fact iOS7 has no original new features but you just dont care i just find shocking. I really do. I feel sorry for you.

Well they have finally gone and done it. They have accepted it is an Xbox like platform and added a controller API for game controller units.

It will help sell bigger iPads and the the currently, purposely limited by design, Apple TV.
A souped up Apple Game TV is logical and very quick to design. But more likely they want to focus it on iPads and phones for now. A bit naive of me to be earlier think they would move to putting buttons and stuff on the actual device.

Silly poll really, considering only the developers here have it.
Simply not in any 'non anonymous' interest to vote anything other then positive.

Googling "download ios 7 now" will link you to a few places to get it nefariously. You can also apparently get it fully legally by joining the developer program.

Apple only offers the iOS 7 beta to registered developers, but there are services that let users pay a smaller fee to download the iOS 7 beta ahead of the official release.

I agree. Why would Apple of all companies copy that heap of junk?

You say that as if Apple is "vastly superior" to Microsoft. Let's not forget the reason why Apple is even still in business.
