Starts next Monday on BBC 2 @ 8pm.

Will be of particular interest to me because aviation is practically my specialist subject. :o

Looking forward to this. I'm not that bothered by the planes themselves but I find airports to be fascinating places.

My heart sank. What was the name of that "unreality series" on BBC1 about Heathrow?

It was called Airport and was shown from 1996. Actually, it was one of the very first of fly-on-the-wall type programmes.

Actually, this looks as if it will be a more serious real time look at how the airport works than being personality driven.

It does sound promising. Having an interest in aviation, I'm hoping for plenty of technical details. In terms of balancing general interest, it'd probably help nervous passengers too, one way or another.

I wouldn't be expecting many technical details if they are using Astronomy Live as a template.

How can a "live" program start 2 mins late.
And why does the One Show ALWAYS starts 2 mins early at 6:58

Sometimes Heathrow seems to be my second home. I pass through there at least twice a month.

No Dan Snow for "family reasons." Hope it's nothing too serious.

Wonder what happened with Dan, safe hands Humble has stepped in though.

What? No Dan Snow! He's partly the reason I tuned in. He makes even the most boring programme seem interesting. Plus, he's easy on the eye too :p

Seriously though, I hope it's nothing bad - the personal reason, I mean.

I don't mind her but "Kate Humble's Beaver Watch" wasn't what I was hoping it would be.

I love airports and airliners. I love looking at the departures board to see where all the planes are going :o:)

That ATCO wasn't very impressed with the comment "Let's see if he hasn't crashed".

BBC typical TV show treating the viewers as swivel eyed 9 year old dimwits.

Yes, I do know what air traffic controllers do Kate, the clue's in the fracking name.
