Are we meant to have had some form of response?
I think we're getting something soon

No, unless a question was asked. PMs will be sent out once all places are filled. There's still one spot remaining.

Also, could anyone who hasn't sent me an introduction for themselves please do so as soon as you can. Thanks.

Oooh. Just noticed this thread. Was part of it last year and it was err interesting... It was great fun though. Is it still too late to apply? I'm very tempted.

Just sent you a message asking about downloading MSN etc. If I don't hear back from you I'll try to download it myself, but I don't really know how so some extra help would be great. (I use a Mac, so I don't have all the same programs as some people have.)

This link should work for downloading msn for mac: http://microsoft-messenger8.en.softonic.com/mac. I think if you just click the download button there it should work and you should be able to open msn. I had a mac until about a month ago and it didn't try and move me to skype so hopefully you shouldn't have any problems with that and probably won't need to download the additional reviver programme, however if you do I'm sure you can find a reviver programme for mac msn somewhere online

Apparently this doesn't support group chats. I've sent him a link to download Adium which I'm sure does

We still have a few extra spaces, 2 more applicants maximum. So if you'd like to apply you're more than welcome!

Also George, if you're still having issues with MSN let me know and I'll send you a more detailed PM. This goes for everyone else too!

Tyjet is helping me out with it. I'll try his suggestions and see if they work, but if they don't I'll ask you for some more help.

In order to keep the forum free from too many DSA-related threads, the Candidate Reveal will take place in this thread at 8PM this evening.

Can I have some help with adding MSN to Skype on a Mac?

Also, why is it that we use MSN instead of Skype?

Welcome to the Digital Spy Apprentice candidate reveal for our third series!

Tonight I'll be revealing the 14 candidates that are stepping forward to compete for the title of the series 3 Digital Spy Apprentice. We have an array of different characters amongst this year's bunch and we're very excited to get the competition started.

So, without further ado, let's meet our candidates.

First of all, I'll have two aides that will help me in all of decisions throughout the series. They'll each be following a team on every task and reporting everything back to me, so the candidates will know them very well by the end! Both have taken part in this competition before and both have done extremely well. I'm delighted to be have them both on board. They are the lovely Zak (Satanel) and Gav (Gav 2.0)!

Our first candidate of the evening is 21 year old Amy, otherwise known as TheAuburnEnigma.

Here's what Amy has to say.

Why I want to be the next Apprentice:
I've been watching the show pretty much since it started, but I've only really been into it since series 7. So many times I have watched and thought 'I could do better than that', and now is my chance to prove it. Besides which, I'm mostly known for hosting the 'Reality Check' game on the Strictly Games forum, and I want to try something that will allow me to showcase my skills in another way - this seems like the perfect opportunity for me.

Relevant Skills:
* I'm a good team player. I've done various moots (mock trials) with different groups of people as part of my course at uni. I'm able to get on well with most people, and I won't let personal differences get in the way of task performance.
* However, if I think something hasn't been thought about, or that something doesn't seem right to me, I will bring it up with the relevant person. If only for clarification for me, or to get the person to think about whether they've taken the right course of action.
* I'm very good with numbers and can do mental arithmetic quite quickly. The amount of times I've seen things go wrong on tasks because of bad maths skills, I want to make sure that my team don't fall into that trap.
* I'm very reliable. If I say I'm going to do something by a certain time, then I will put my utmost effort in to making sure that it is done. If real life means I can't get it all completed, I'd let my PM know where I had got up to and how I would have continued it.

Hobbies and Personality:
* I'm generally quite quiet, which I know isn't always good for this kind of process, but I've always felt that it's not always about who shouts the loudest. I can't stand bitchy people and if one of my teammates is getting treated harshly, then I will say something about it.
* I used to be quite an avid reader, but I haven't been able to read much since being at uni (and I'm graduating in a few months). I prefer more classical books and my favourite author is Jane Austen.
* This is quite sad, but I am a Pokémon nerd. I have most of the main series games and I've been getting into the Mystery Dungeon spin-offs as well. Playing on my DSi (which was a limited edition black Pokemon console that I got when I bought Pokemon Black) and my new 3DS is a favourite pass-time of mine.
* I'm into all kinds of music. From Evanescence and Muse to Aqua and the infamous Gunther & the Sunshine Girls. I'm always looking for new music to listen to and perhaps use in a Strictly game at some point.
