Our first candidate of the evening is 21 year old Amy, otherwise known as TheAuburnEnigma.
Here's what Amy has to say.
Why I want to be the next Apprentice:
I've been watching the show pretty much since it started, but I've only really been into it since series 7. So many times I have watched and thought 'I could do better than that', and now is my chance to prove it. Besides which, I'm mostly known for hosting the 'Reality Check' game on the Strictly Games forum, and I want to try something that will allow me to showcase my skills in another way - this seems like the perfect opportunity for me.
Relevant Skills:
* I'm a good team player. I've done various moots (mock trials) with different groups of people as part of my course at uni. I'm able to get on well with most people, and I won't let personal differences get in the way of task performance.
* However, if I think something hasn't been thought about, or that something doesn't seem right to me, I will bring it up with the relevant person. If only for clarification for me, or to get the person to think about whether they've taken the right course of action.
* I'm very good with numbers and can do mental arithmetic quite quickly. The amount of times I've seen things go wrong on tasks because of bad maths skills, I want to make sure that my team don't fall into that trap.
* I'm very reliable. If I say I'm going to do something by a certain time, then I will put my utmost effort in to making sure that it is done. If real life means I can't get it all completed, I'd let my PM know where I had got up to and how I would have continued it.
Hobbies and Personality:
* I'm generally quite quiet, which I know isn't always good for this kind of process, but I've always felt that it's not always about who shouts the loudest. I can't stand bitchy people and if one of my teammates is getting treated harshly, then I will say something about it.
* I used to be quite an avid reader, but I haven't been able to read much since being at uni (and I'm graduating in a few months). I prefer more classical books and my favourite author is Jane Austen.
* This is quite sad, but I am a Pokémon nerd. I have most of the main series games and I've been getting into the Mystery Dungeon spin-offs as well. Playing on my DSi (which was a limited edition black Pokemon console that I got when I bought Pokemon Black) and my new 3DS is a favourite pass-time of mine.
* I'm into all kinds of music. From Evanescence and Muse to Aqua and the infamous Gunther & the Sunshine Girls. I'm always looking for new music to listen to and perhaps use in a Strictly game at some point.
