Hi
I've had my Z10 for 2weeks now and love it. I thought it would take sometime to get used to the gestures but to be honest within a day it came as second nature. The only thing it lacks is more apps although I don't use many apps anyway. Colin. |

The Z10 is an amazing piece of kit, I've had it since it came out in February. There's been around 4 OS updates already which have introduced a shedload of new features AND the keyboard and browser are to die for. Still, according to some on here, Blackberry is dead, is it still going, why do they bother, blah, blah, blah. Get one, you'll hate it for 3 days whilst it learns how you type and you get to understand the lack of home button and how multi-tasking truly can work on a phone and before you know it you'll be swiping on an iPad and screaming 'why won't you close!' Cue 'Blackberry is dead', 'why would you bother' tosh (yawn) too late, it aint... |

It's not got as large a screen as other phones but its professional and sleek and the features its offering is no worse than Iphone 5. Not put off by the OS deign. Looks great do texting on and the colour sceme is sensible unlike Apple now. |

As soon as I seen the new blackberry I thought 'wow they are back'.

Sleek is the word although it's a brand new way of working, I can type at ridiculous speed on this thing and it corrects in a way not out there at present (I'd love to show you, people don't really seem to understand unless they see it) and also flick longer words in as necessary as the keyboard learns your most commonly used words and phrases. All I can say is I forced an employee of mine onto it from iphone and within a fortnight the iphone hasn't seen the light of day and he said 'most phones auto predict words - this thing predicts sentences!' |

Mate, seriously, just get one. It really is the dogs of a phone. If you're used to touchscreen keyboards it's better than anything else out there simply because BB had to make a touchscreen as good as a physical keyboard to keep their fanbase on board. They actually made it better IMHO.

But I'm interested to try one out. I suspect the Blackberry might be the best on the market defiantly looks it. Not bothered about limited apps as I intend on buying an IPod to keep my iphone apps on. How is the camera and battery life? What's the largest memory card you can buy for it? |

You'll be surprised by the apps, there's many native BB10 devs cleaning up with other versions of stuff not yet available PLUS there's a large (ridiculously loyal, to be fair) BB community supporting the platform and creating native Z10 apps that aren't available elsewhere. Regardless, the vast majority of popular stuff is on there but if it isn't hanging onto your ipod makes sense.
As regards the camera, it's awesome, particularly the Time Shift feature which takes a burst of split second photos and then detects the faces of the people in it. You can then move their faces through time to get the best shot (as many faces as are in the photo) individually. This means that, for example, as happened the other day, my daughter had her eyes shut when the camera snapped but I moved her back in time 2 split seconds and she was the happiest child on the planet. Once you press the tick the shot you want is superimposed and seamless. As for the memory card, I understand the phone can take 64GB no problem (I have the 4MB in mine that came with my last phone) and battery life has improved considerably over the last 3 months with OS updates. particularly the last one when the phone became super zippy and shedloads of RAM seemed to be freed up. My Z10 now lasts a full day of constant phone calls/e-mails/texts/BBM's although I will quite happily admit to it needing chargng if the little one gets hold of it to play games for a couple of hours |

Cool I'm buying sim free so I have a question do the boxes come sealed in plastic as all the ones on ebay are open? In the shops it's £500 almost ebay is cheaper.
I take it they don't give memory cards with the phone? Also how is the music player through the headphones? The charger looks similar to Apple I noticed. Is the built quality good? |

Got mine on contract, came in a sealed box which was rather posh. No, they do't give memory cards with the phone which is a bit weird as they used to, The music player is cool enough, charger is BB standard and build quality is spot on as far as I'm concerned.

Now that the Z10 has dropped quite a bit in price - £150 sim free from CW - is it a bargain well worth getting or is the Z30 worth the extra expense?
