Officially you cannot install beta versions of iOS unless you are part of Apple's iOS developer program and you register the UDID of any devices you use for development purposes to your developer account.

I really want to try it but I don't know any developers who could register my UDID.

I know a couple of people who have already downloaded and installed it from the same site. Not sure if I'd be allowed to list it here.

Just remember as it is a beta, there will be bugs and in extreme cases can mess up your phone.

Believe my it is buggy, i wouldn't want it on my phone that i depend on personally. Only using it for dev purposes myself. My iPhone 5 is staying iOS6 as it should.

A link was posted to this thread but removed so guessing it isn't allowed. It isn't too hard to google a few select keywords from the posts above though if someone is that determined to unofficially do it

I can't see why anyone who isn't a dev would want it, other than for silly bragging rights. I'll say it again it's buggy, do not put it on your daily phone.

I know Apple advise against it, but as an IOS developer I have always put the Betas on my primary phone. I take the view that if I am going to provide feedback on bugs, and properly explore the features that will only happen if I am using it in anger. At the end of the day, what's the worst that can happen, it's only a phone, it's not like it runs my life support system Worst case, I have never had a problem with going back to a previous release.

Same here. I guess it depends on whether you would install beta software at all. "Dont install on your primary system" is for noobs that haven't backed up their data before installation

Just updated to iOS7 (without a Dev account - there are tutorials out there so use them)...
Backed up all my stuff twice so I'm not worried about that.

First impressions - I like it.

Your comment makes it sound like the whole 4G debacle all over again.

Memory leaks, lagging in apps etc is exactly what is fixed throughout the various betas.... just like in 5 & 6...

Any issues will be ironed out and refined through the next few beta releases and in the final release.

It seemed to be temporary though. The transitions are smooth now.

iPhone 3 was laggy as hell when a new OS came out 18 months later.

You're using it wrong

Its expected because its a beta, which the whole point of is to be tested over the coming weeks by a larger audience and tweeked through various updated betas before the final release is made a available.

Personally, I would have expected several thousand Apple developers who will have been testing it for some time already, to have spotted any glaring performance issues by now. This is a Beta not an Alpha and really at this point they should just be looking for unusual edge cases.
