Can anyone tell me if the messages app has quick reply (like bite sms) or do you still have to leave an app to reply to a message?

It appears to be the same as ios6 - if you get a message notification, you can tap on it to take you straight to the messaging, regardless of what app you're in.

hmmm.. think my "testing" of iOS7 might be at an end - the lag is starting to do my head in ...

One of my friends said the same and went back to iOS 6 because of it. The finished product shouldn't be like that though.

Yeah I would expect it to be optimised to within an inch of it's life when it gets a full release. I really do like it but I'm not going to keep it as an everyday rom until it's fully finished

I've been using it since Tuesday and find it quite reliable as a daily OS. I work at an IT agency and one of the devs swapped me his iphone 5 for my HTC One the day ios7 was released as beta. Its my second 5 actually but I couldnt stand ios6 and wanted to try out ios 7 and I'm glad I did.

The worst lag is in the music app if you have a large iTunes Match collection. Music app is also very buggy but I'm sure this will be sorted out in the next two betas.

Its very impressive so far and I prefer it to Android.

This could actually explain why i've had the problems I have because the music app is the one I use more than anything - i've got over 8,300 songs on it as well.

Still, i'm back on 6.1.3 now. I'll keep an eye on the beta releases and see how they progress and how soon i can get it back on there.

can I put it on my spare 3gs for testing?

I suppose you could - if it's a spare and you're not too worried about it, give it a go. I wouldn't have thought you could run it very well on a 3GS though

no, it doesn't work on 3gs. iphone 4 is the oldest phone you can use

if you do have a valid device you can just download and hold shift and upgrade (don't restore) and it will work. you have to have the latest IOS and itunes working first though
