Seabrooks Cheese and Onion crisps. Different taste ?
Have Seabrooks changed the recipe for their Cheese and Onion crisps recently ? They are nowhere as strong as they used to be.

I got some pickled onion last year and they definitely weren't as strong as previously and also though they were a lighter/thinner crisp and less chrunchy.

Not tried them for ages but will get a pack tomorrow and see. Not my fave flavor of the Seabrook range, prefer the Beef tbh, used to like the pickled onion and Worcester sauce but they seem to have gone now. So many different brands of crisps about these days, my favorite at the minute are Golden Wonder spring onion.

All the flavours are the same, none seem as strong. Check out the Facebook page, there's actually lots of complaints on there.
https://www.facebook.com/SeabrookCri...ocation=stream They claim they haven't changed anything but they definitely seem weaker. |

Tried one of the new packs last night, Salted flavour and they have definitely changed them, still tasted OK but changed, with less salt.

Funnily enough I was thinking about this the other day - I used to love their cheese & onion because of their supreme strength, but as you say, they`re not what they were. Nor are the beef ones as beefy as before. Everything changes, though..

I went on their Facebook page complaining about the bland flavour of their Cheese and Onion crisps and they are sending me some vouchers. The thing is, the ones I get with the vouchers will be the same crisps !! They won't have any flavour either ! So what's the point ?? |

These really are terrible. I just hd a packet and thought I must have picked up a packet of perfectly unsalted by mistake.

Seabrook used to be my favourite brand as a kid.
Used to like Worcester sauce and Tomato the most. While they are still ok, I just get a salty taste off most flavours. |

Seabrooks used to be fantastic but have gone downhill. The last lot I had were overcooked and not nice at all. There was also the disappointment of them reducing their multipack bag size from 31.5g to 25g. I complained about that and was just fobbed off. They claimed people would prefer smaller bags rather than pay more but their Facebook page was full of people stating the opposite!
Walkers deep ridged are a good alternative. |

I recently bought some Seabrooks crisps, and they actually had some taste !
Perhaps they have taken notice of our complaints ?? They were the packs with a blue "Free Days Out" flash on the front. I'm hoping these are not 'one offs' |

Finally got round to tasting the new beef flavour and they have gone from 9/10 crisps to 1/10. There is hardly any flavour to them at all now, Only 95p for 6 packs at Farmfoods but not even worth that. Very, very poor.

Cheese and Onion and Prawn Cocktail seabrooks were AMAZING in the 90's.

The last couple of packets of seabrooks I've had have been full of bits with barely a full crisp in sight... I've given up on them.
