What's funny is that Madonna actually sold more albums in the 90s in the US and worldwide than she did in the 80s, yet she's forever linked to the 80s, the same way Elvis was linked to the 50s.
In the 80s, Madonna has 28 million certified album sales in the US and about 83 million sold worldwide In the 90s she had 29 million certified album sales in the US and sold about 93 million albums worldwide In the US, Madonna also had about the same amount of top 10 hits, 17 in the 80s and 15 in the 90s I just think aside from Ray of Light, her 80s stuff seems better remembered |
