Huawei Y300 (dual core, jelly bean, 4" screen) from £60 at CPW

Granted the £60 is upgrade but even without that option these start at £70 plus obligatory £10 top up (incidentally, won't these all be unlocked no matter what network version you choose so best go for the cheapest? Even if not, the unlocking code is available for £4 off fleebay)). We are not talking HTC One/ S4 loveliness here and of course there are compromises to reach this price point but, crikey, it's still a lot phone for the money. 30 day satisfaction guarantee thrown in as well.

Is it better than the G300, which I've got?

Well, it's dual core whereas the G300 is single core plus it's got the latest OS, Jelly Bean, out of the box plus it's also got a front facing camera whereas the G300 hasn't. And a bigger battery. Plus, bizarrely, it's cheaper to buy than the G300 (certainly if you buy the Y300 from CPW). You may still get at least 50% to the cost of the Y300 by selling your G300 on ebay!

Three questions:
1. Does this come in white?
2. What is the music player like on this?
3. Are there any cases available for the phone?

What did your own search results say?

Point 2. Does it matter what the included music player is like? It runs Android and there are loads of fantastic third party apps that knock the spots the stock offerings. Power Anp and N7 Player are the standouts for me but I am sure others have there favourites.

To be fair to neo, you could have found out the answers to your questions in less time than it took you to write them on here...

My mistake I thought this was a forum where people give opinions & ask questions.

I didn't ask the questions old boy, someone else did very obviously expecting us to do the research for them. Pay attention and try harder to keep up poppet .

Talking of keeping up, perhaps you would like to read my post again but carefully this time (clue: really concentrate on the first 5 words and specifically the 4th). No need to apologise though, your post gave me a right laugh, which will suffice.

Absolute bargin that. These chinese makes will be dominating soon. These people paying £35 a month on 18 month contracts for a brand name. Craziness.

Have you seen the specs on this phone?

Expect your phone to run very slowly.

No but dual core says it's no slug. Have you seen the ones on Amazon, ebay etc? Like the Star phone? I got one for £95 delivered and it's fast, clean smooth reliable and runs apps perfectly. The big names are already losing market share to these Chinese phones and it will continue.
