Last time on Battle Of The Seasons, the magnificent 7 acts all took on songs that had relation to space. Whilst some were out of this world, others failed to lift off. But for one act, there would be no life on mars as after 7 shows, we said goodbye to one of the 2011 acts as the entertaining Johnny Robinson was sent home by the judges. Tonight, we have one hit wonders and our sensational six will be hoping not to be one hit wonders themselves.

Fighting for your votes are:

jackamakka who has no remaining 2010 acts

pingu58011 & The last of the 2008 Class
Rachel Hylton

fireemblemcraze & The 2012 Class
Adam Burridge
Ella Henderson

yohinnchild & The 2011 Class
Max Vickers
Melanie McCabe
Little Mix

So welcome to where your Wednesday night just got a lot more interesting.
So let's hope we have a lively panel, judges confirm your presence!

Pingu is not here tonight and I don't have his comments.

Talking of which, let's start off with the first of the "12 class and opening the show, it's Adam Burridge!

Note: Song starts at 0:20 and ends at 3:20 and I highly recommend watching all of this.

Adam Burridge
Adam, you have fixed yourself as one of my favourite acts from outside of my own category and have given some fantastic performances throughout these live shows. I'm going to be honest with you and say I feel slightly underwhelmed by the performance and for me it lacked any form of impact in terms of starting off the show and as a bid to progress to the next stage of the competition. I liked the fact that the song was different and in many ways a curve ball; however we are at the final 6 of the competition now and looking to see who is going to emerge as a winner and after that performance I don't think it was a good start for your campaign. I hope that you do get the vote tonight though as your previous performances have more than made up for this and you've earned your spot in the top 5.

So we start off with mixed comments for Adam, but with no more sing-offs, can he survive the public vote alone?

Our second act is our sing-off survivor and asks do we even matter? (I think we do), it's Melanie McCabe!

Well with only me commenting, my acts should get universal praise

Melanie McCabe
You were bottom 2 in the last show and overall I was quite surprised to see you there as I think you've been one of the strongest acts throughout this competition. You've shown us so many different sides to yourself as a performer and shown just how much of a great vocalist you are. Tonight was no exception, it was possibly a slight different route for you in terms of song choice, however part of this process is to show how great and adaptable acts are and that you can sing in different genres. Well done on tonight's performance, I hope that people get back to ranking you highly and support you into the final 5. You've been great to mentor and pick songs for and I think you deserve to make it one step closer to the final!!

I think you have a point there, David.

So Melanie pulls out a comeback, but will she get the rebound vote later?

Our third act is the surprise of the pack and has heard it all before, making it this far, it's Rachel Hylton!

I think I would've liked to hear a stripped back version of the song where your vocals took centre stage and the arrangement was a bit more slowed down as I think it would've given a lot more impact. Overall though I think it was a strong performance from you and you are an act who seems to be getting better with each show and song you perform. You haven't been bottom 2 and therefore you clearly have a lot of fans out there keeping you in the competition. I think it would be interesting to see you progress through to the next stage so good luck for the vote and well done on tonight's performance.

So it's a mixed reception for Rachel, but she had made it this far without facing a sing-off, will she survive again?

Our fourth act told me "look what have you done" and I told him I didn't do anything! It's Max Vickers!

Max Vickers
That was another fantastic performance from you tonight Max and you are for me possibly the biggest surprise of the competition in terms of popularity. I was expecting things to be a struggle to keep you into the later stages, however you have been bottom 2 once and have been supported well throughout this competition by some good praise from the judges. Tonight you put in another great performance; you always sing with such emotion and you put your heart into everything. There have been comments about 'commitment' and something being missing; to that I say it's rubbish; Max is always committed to his performances and has shown just how amazing his voice is in the past few show. Show your support for Max tonight and get him into the top 5!!!!

David I disagree so much with your comments for Adam - that song is so beautiful and wonderfully done. And if you watch the entire performance he got the crowd going. He sang the lyrics like he meant it. And we're near Father's Day so there is no better song suited to him and he's had so much variety in his performances so again this was a welcome change of path for him back to something more suitable and more touching.

Vote for Adam everyone!

So Max delivers once again and will he make the Top 5?

Our penultimate act wants to dance with me, (I'll tell her later, lol.) it's Ella Henderson!

Note: Apologies for poor lyric quality, it was the only video with the lyrics, the sound quality is great however

Ella well done on tonight's performance, I think that it enabled you to show a different side to you which was fun and cute and it was very well executed. The song allowed you to show a lot more of your lower register and also to sing with a lot of power. You've been a fairly consistent act throughout this competition so good luck with the vote tonight and well done and another good performance.

So Ella gets a good reception for tonight, but will that be enough since it's votes alone from now on?

Our final act believe to be something in the way they are (but we know the answer to that), it's Little Mix!

*Standing Ovation*

A fantastic performance from you girls this evening where each of you showed off how vocally brilliant you are and just how strong you are as a group. Perri your vocals are always sublime and this evening was no disappointment. You girls have given us some fantastic performance in this competition and I'll admit you are the first group that I've mentored in recent times and It took a while to get to grips with song choices and arrangements, however I think you've been strong contenders for a while now. Please vote and support the girls tonight and see them into the top 5; there is much more to come from them.

So we end on a high note for the last surviving group in the competition, are they destined for the Top 5?

It was short but that is it folks, our acts have all sung if you want to say something then you can because the lines are now OPEN!

Here is a reminder of all of tonight's performances:

Spoiler

Send me your rankings of 6-1 to me if you want to vote as always. Judges can vote as well and they CAN vote for their own acts too. Remember there is NO sing-off tonight, it's your votes alone that will decide the outcome of tonight's result from now until the end of the Series. The lines will close at 8:15pm and ONE act will leave the competition for good. So feel free to discuss tonight's show in the meantime.

Just sent mine in.

Here are some brief comments:

Rachel - I really enjoyed the song (I actually wanted to use it for Ella so I enjoyed it that much ) but again I just want Rachel to do something more current. She's beginning to sound too dated. I still love her and you too Pingu!

Melanie - Really interesting choice, definitely middle pack for me. It was again all at the same level but unlike Max's performance, the lyrics of the song were so nice and beautiful. The performance was great.

Max - disappointed, too one dimensional. Melanie's song and Adam's songs were so beautiful and worded so wonderfully. Max has been doing too much of the same thing as well. You did something like this last week. I wanted more and I didn't get it.

Little Mix - I love these little girls so much. Really interesting song, I don't know about everyone else but I really liked it. It is a very alternative song choice though. However, I like what David has done with it.

Ella - Amazing. Breathtaking. We've done something new and interesting every week. And Ella deserve to stay on the basis of that.

Adam - *standing ovation*

Amazing performance. There are no words to describe how much that song touches my heart. And it's nearly Father's Day so a plus point I think.

Please vote for Adam and Ella - though I suppose it's too late now.

David - I was here. Just not in full capacity.

Okay, so earlier we had our sensational six acts all singing one hit wonders, but now for one act, the dream of a second top chart hit ends here.
Let's now welcome back the judges and their acts!

jackamakka who has no remaining 2010 acts

pingu58011 & The last of the 2008 Class
Rachel Hylton

fireemblemcraze & The 2012 Class
Adam Burridge
Ella Henderson

yohinnchild & The 2011 Class
Max Vickers
Melanie McCabe
Little Mix

Alright folks, there is no bottom two and this one could count as a surprise, so good luck to all.
So in NO Particular order, the first act returning next time is...

David - I was here. Just not in full capacity.
You made your comments after the vote and only made one post whilst the show was one - so really you weren;t here to give a full critique to have any bearing on the voting.
