It is more subtle, and Alex is better, than that. If Alex disagrees with a decision, he lets you know about it: he has a little rant. But then it is over and he rolls up his sleeves to work for the team and the win. And then afterwards, he reminds everyone that he was right and you were wrong. But what Alex does not do is sulk.
