Asian Food (and looking for ideas)
I do love myself some Indian or Chinese or any food styled with Asian techniques.
Found a shop today that specialises in mostly East Asian cuisine food and I would really love to make something a bit more authentic. They had things like Tofu, Ramen, pickled everything (from fruits to garlic to ginger to cabbage to fish), pastes, fresh Chinese vegetables, Bamboo shoots, Thai sauces, Rice vinegar, Oyster sauce, Soy sauce, masala powder and many other stuff I can't even recall that I've never come across in a regular supermarket. So peeps. Any ideas on what sort of meals I can make using more traditional style ingredients for Asian food? And what do you love in general |

From that lot I'd say a Thai Fish / Seafood Curry.
Indian meals would be my preference. Not too keen on Chinese although I'll suck up if it is home made. |

This a nice recipe:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddr...onut-rice.html With firm tofu (not tofu puffs which are already deep-fried), I find it helps to press it so that all the water comes out and then marinade it: http://shine.yahoo.com/shine-food/pr...173451558.html |
