Hi - recently the vision epg keeps performing "refreshing programme information" at short intervals whilst I'm using the EPG. This annoyingly sends me back to current time and also to main TV listings (if I'm in Favourites) whilst browsing for listings a few hours later, or for another day. Very irritating ! Anyone else had this?
Thanks.

Try a reboot of the box. And then if that doesn't work, report it to the Mods -

Because that shouldn't happen.

Have you tried a hard reboot, warwound?

Turn off the power to the box, then go to your hub and press the reset button, wait 5 Mins and then turn your box back on. That may work. If not, then try the Mods.

warwound - it is definitely a good idea to contact the mods on eth BT Care forum that VM1 mentioned. They do take a while to come back to you but they will get it fixed if it is an issue that they can fix. If it is a hardware issue then they will even exchange you Vision box as well.

So you know the EPG on the "new look" BT Vision+ firmware is delivered over the air unlike the original "classic" BT Vision+ software - that was delivered over the network.

There is something else that you need to be aware of with the "new look" BT Vision+ EPG and recording. Sometimes you might get programs "clipped" at the beginning or the end. This is because the "new look" BT Vision+ firmware/software uses a pulse that comes from the broadcaster to start or end the recording. Sometimes the broadcasters don't send the pulse out a exactly the right time and so you get the program "clipped". The "classic" BT Vision because it used the over the network EPG had slight buffering included so you nearly always got correct recordings - this didn't happen correctly when "classic" BT Vision was shipped but we got it fixed.

I get the option of padding. None, +5mins, +15 and +30 (this can be found under TV Settings).
