Samsung S5 going the metal route?

It appears as though Samsung are considering ditching the plastics in favour of an Aluminium construction. Could this mean the end of the removable battery and SD card slot?

So for those who favoured the plastics, would going metal put you off the next phone? Also how big a factor would be a lack of removable battery and memory expansion slot?

If that were true and purely speculation nearly a year away from s5 it doesn't mean no sd or removable battery at all. There is nothing to suggest Samsung have any intention of doing this and are hopefully a lot smarter than HTC who dropped the ball big time in choosing to do this.

There had been a rumour said that S4 could use metal instead of plastic before it has been released.

They've produced handsets before with metal bodies that had removable batteries and memory cards.
Even HTC have variants of the One with memory cards.

Frankly though, this is little more than drivel - an all-but-baseless rumour about a phone that, if it ever exists, won't be on the market for nearly a year.

The HTC I had was aluminium and had a removable battery. You could always have a battery 'slot' with a clip cover like the HTC Desire HD.

I'd like to see another metal, rather than aluminium actually.

Any particular reason?

Ceramic would be nice. Or decent quality plastic like HTC and Nokia manage to do rather than cheap nasty molded shite, But how much would Samsung charge for a premium phone when the they charge top whack for the S4?
