Get yourself a Blutooth donlge.. you can get them from amazon.co.uk, mobilefun.co.uk, ebuyer.co.uk, dabs.com etc... if you have XP just plug it in the usb port and XP will install it. goto bluetooth menu on phone [settings --> connectivity --> bluetooth] and turn bluetooth on, now scroll to bluetooth settings change 'My phones visibility' to on and whilst your there you can change the phones name.

Now back to XP on the task bar there should be a bluetooth icon, right click it and select 'Add a bluetooth device' and follow the instructions.....

In theory its very easy... I found it reasonably easy for my 6600, but I've been having some trouble so far with my 6230 It just doesn't seem to want to let me use the connection in any applications

In my experience get a Belkin Dongle. The software that comes with it allows for easy connection to several devices and it also has an easy to use interface.

Bluetooth is much better supported under SP2

And so it is but......

I have a Belkin Bluetooth dongle to talk to my Nokia 6310. Specifically I used to have a COM port configured to allow me to use a dial up connection to a system at work. It worked fine before SP2 and meant I no longer had to use the slightly flakey cable connection.

Installed SP2 and it all went the shape of the pear! SP2 insisted that only the MS drivers could be installed! It would even let me re-install Belkin's drivers then sneakily overwrite them with out bothering to ask me if that's what I wanted! Wouldn't have been a problem if the MS drivers had the same functionality as the Belkin but I lost this COM port set-up completely.

I managed to get the Belkin drivers re-instated but they are different to what I had pre SP2 and don't work anything like they used to. So much so I can no longer use a Bluetooth COM port and have had to go back to the cable.
