The main site has been taken down but their proxies still work as I have just loaded them up.

At the bottom of a Google search for kickass torrents it now says they have omitted 1 result due to DMA with a link to this.
I've not noticed that before, mind you I don't torrent.

Had no internet for 3 hours this week due to BT emergency work in my street. 3 strikes and no internet? I was climbing the wall after 3 hours. Just because they're not sending out letters at the moment don't mean you ain't going on the list.

It seems the industry wanted to make sure that it was gone. I wouldn't be surprised if it popped up somewhere else though. They're really being aggressive with these shutdowns of torrent and nzb sites. They feel threatened.

Just after 3 hours without internet access? Hell! There's a word for that.

Thankfully I'm with one of the 'smaller' US cable companies that isn't blocking anything .... yet.

I was was merely suggesting DS torrent dudes have a rethink about the consequences of 3 strikes and you're out. Its not just the ability to download free movies that's lost - its everything. The internet is the main conduit of information into my house and it would be a massive disruption if I lost it.

There's a huge industry that harvests IP addresses from torrents and sells the lists to anyone concerned. If you want to see this in action, just install one of the many so-called blocking programs such as PeerGuardian (they don't block - but do log snooping from companies on their list of bad guys). Then fire up a bittorrent app and watch the 'blocker' light up like an Xmas tree. And that's only detecting the ones they know about. You don't even have to download anything to see this activity. VPNs are a temporary solution, but its only a matter of time before that loophole is fixed.

Torrents are going to be finished soon - so quit while you're ahead.

Tracker sites being taken down and others popping up has nothing to do with 3 strikes.

Hahaha!!!! yeah right pmsl

Just enable a VPN or HTTPS connection or use Tor, or any of the many other ways to get around it, and when I say many I mean many. SSH tunnelling, rent a cheap small 'torrent box' in another country.

Have you not realised yet that you can't block sharing on the internet without breaking the internet.

The internet by default allows people to 'Share things' People somewhere in a dark room, will always provide a easy way around the blocks, just because they can

Just tried on plusnet again and it's still not available, so not sure how some can get it and others not, proxies are available though so it's not a problem.
