I saw the first episode of series 3 the other day, after reading a few people talk about Katie Hopkins. I noticed a change of style on how the episodes are edited. Also, when the PR brought the two people into the boardroom, one of them nodded because she knew she was partly responsible for the failure of the task. It surprised me she didn't throw a tantrum like most of them do now. Even if they failed hard they still deny it and blame others for stupid things.

I also liked the way they analyze the task and talk about things that went wrong without taking it personally. I plan to see more when series 9 finishes. |

Jadine would never have won - the job on offer didn't fit her at all. If she's like anybody from Series 6 it'd be Joanna (oops racism) but less coherent.
I liked Series 3 but a lot of the end of the series left a sour taste in the mouth. Jadine's mental collapse, Katie getting to leave on her own terms after half a series of being vindictive and unpleasant, Simon stabbing Tre in the back (which of course was perfectly justified but Simon managed to make it seem slimy anyway because it was SIMON), those random wheelchair sales, that You're Hired where all the defeated candidates sat staring daggers at Simon for beating them. |

Series 3 is my favourite series as I find almost every task memorable in it's own right, though I'm having trouble remembering this. When did he stab Tre in the back?

I guess by not giving him help going into interviews. But that was more Tre's own stupid fault by not doing the research.

Tre was brilliant entertainment - we'd all love to be able to swear and shout in the office like that.
The way he took Rory apart in the cab, it was so embarrassing. |

Series 3 was the first one I ever seen, and it quickly cemented its self as one of my favourite programmes ever! Kristina still remains as my favourite contestant to this very day

Rory: I AM your boss. Tre: No, you're my project manager. Rory: I AM your boss! Tre: You're nothing to me! (edit sorry I see that muzungu has already posted this!) Just brilliant. I actually remember laughing out loud at Tre's last comment and seeing the totally defeated look on Rory's face. Just as an aside, I class myself as a pretty big Apprentice fan having watched it from the off (and some of the US version also) but by and large I can never remember who was in which series half as much as most of you lot seem to do! Perhaps I need to reclassify myself as only a moderate Apprentice Fan compared to some of you guys!

Classic I agree! If I remember rightly the conversation went like this-
Rory: I AM your boss. Tre: No, you're my project manager. Rory: I AM your boss! Tre: You're nothing to me! Rory was such a cock, the whole 'take your jackets off' thing, throwing an item out of his pooch pouch like it was a grenade and just general dickishness. Loved it when Rory was fired, Tre then left the room himself, Rory expected at least a handshake, but Tre wasn't interested, just grabbed his suitcase and strode out, leaving Rory to simper to himself. Tre later on - 'He was on my hitlist' LOL. |

It was the way Rory said 'I AM....YOUR boss' like he actually believed it, like he was his boss for life and not just the task.

Crass stupidity from Rory, and your appraisal of Rory is pretty much nail on head as far as I'm concerned! The comeback from Tre was simple yet brutally effective. Hilarious. For me perhaps the funniest line of the whole show! |

Rory was a numpty but let's not forget the fantastic design idea he had for the building that helped Simon secure his win. Had Rory not contributed that I would have valued him little but this made me realise he was probably an 'ideas' person, the type often lacking on TA.

Rory was even worse than Lindsay 'Secret Signals' Bogaard. At least Lindsay was approachable.

True - but even then, he was a total cock during the task, dancing around like a buffoon. But yes, it was a good idea. I don't know if it 'secured' the win, but it helped as you say

Watched 8 episodes of this yesterday on a lazy sunday indoors, compulsive and indeed classic television, so many good candidates, so much attitude, so much backstabbing.

I can't deny Tre had nasty aspects to his character, but I think it was mostly a show for the cameras, and that if you met him, you could have a laugh with him.
I watched the final of this series last night, and Rory does get a measure of redemption as a previous member on here said. I was wrong about the minimal impact I suggested he had. He vetoed Tre's 'boat' idea, and came up with the 'wave' building, along with the dancing opening for the show. You could argue that Rory really won it for Simon. Not that he got much credit for it. |

True... I think she would have been more memorable in a different series, as from weeks 4 to 7 we barely saw her as everything was about Tre, Katie, Kristina, Adam and Paul.
I agree Weeks 4-7 were all about Tre,Katie,Kristina, Adam and Paul.I'd say Natalie too in weeks 4 and 5 as she starts to take on the 'bitch' role first before Katie fully begins to show her true colours. I think if Natalie had lasted longer she would have shown herself to be as big a bitch as Katie, i think the two of them were already forming a bit of a partnership before Natalie got fired. I find the horrible bullying of Adam by Natalie, then Paul and Katie horrible to watch. Natalie messed up on the zoo task with the lolly label which she lied about in the boardroom, and feuding with Adam all day she was given a second chance and the following week she is PM. She made a total mess as project manager and treated Adam like shit. When her team lost she let her mate Katie off and tried to scapegoat Adam. In the french task Paul was a shocking PM and totally obnoxious and unlikeable along with Katie. A pair of smug, pretentious snobs. The fact they lost totally down to him but he decides to try and scapegoat Adam over that ridiculous banner thing. I sat there and my blood boiled to watch the way Paul and Katie were behaving. All along it seems clear on this task they don't even care if they lose because they plan to scapegoat Adam and get rid of him. Lets ust blame him for everything! I am glad they fail here and paul's firing to me is the most satisfying EVER! Unbelieveable that he took Kristina in when she was so solid on the task By the next week katie is in full 'villian' mode now and the hatred for Adam is there in full force, she blames him for getting rid of her boyfriend. of course the fact he was a useless joke as PM can't possibly have anything to do with it.,Adam should have gone. Paul is wonderful and didn't put a foot wrong on the french task. Katie makes horrid comments about Adam and his 'northern chums' and Adam getting hit by a car blahblah. She lets rip in the boardroom by suggesting he is an alcoholic. She totally lays into the guy. I really felt very sorry for him, he sat there and looked like he didn't know what had hit him. I honestly never thought he was the best candidate but the way he is treated in Weeks 4-7 is disgraceful. Katie should have gone in week 7. I think with types like Natalie,Paul and Katie we are dealing with people who can appear nice on the service but are really sly and two faced underneath. Jadine and Tre are very different to that, far more upfront. They can be aggressive and confrontational but i would prefer that to what you get with Katie. Jadine and Tre are very simiilar thats why they clash so much, especially inweek 1. Often when two people are so alike they won't get on. Although they seem toget on a bit better by week 8-9, i don't think they were ever going to be friends but i think there is respect there between them. But its odd what happens to Jadine. After her loud, disruptive, confrontational beginning she was told to tone it down, she took Sugars words on board and when she was project manager again in Week 8 she was much calmer and more reasonable and WON for a second time. She had a bad week in Week 9 and gets fired which seems a shame to me. But then perhaps she wanted to go by then anyway. |

I have just rewatched Series 3 to refresh my memory. Came back to this thread and saw this post again. I agree with what you say here,Jadine did seem to disappear under the radar in Weeks 4-7 which is weird when you think how visable she was in Episodes 1 and 3. I also noticed she was NEVER on the same team as Katie, irrelevant really, just an observation.

The one thing that really bugs me about Jadine though is that she was fired for the same reason as Ifti, and she was quite unpleasant to him about it. She was like, 'Well it's not like I just give up whenever I have an off-day' sort of thing. You'd think that she of all people would have been able to understand Ifti's feelings. |
