Please can someone help ? I need a new phone and like the look of the C975, I am currently on Orange. I can get the C975 for £39.99.....but it will be on 3 network !??! is it possible to unlock the phone to take my sim ? Any help would be greatly appreciated .

3 phones are rubbish, not worth unlocking either as most of the features are designed for use with the 3 network and wont work on other networks.

It says £59.99 on CPW....how is that cheaper than £39.99?!

The c975 can be unlocked, although not for free

that will not work in either phone, unless you unlock them... (same goes for any other new phone that's not on Orange)

Not true. The fact the phones are so cheap, coupled with the ability to debrand phone software and unlock makes it a cheap product even after paying for unlock etc.

Below is a picture from a £30 Motorola C975. Not bad quality (not even on best setting). The software on the C975 is faster than many Nokia phones, texting is not so good as a nokia (but then what is), but the functions and radio performance are good.

Not in my opinion! Peace and quiet for me and the fish is a great thing and look how beautiful it is. Fishing the lake wont enhance that, in most cases quite the opposite.

Yes buy the c975, its only £40 and its a bargain......

More rubbish. 3g features wont work on non 3g networks, everything else will work when sw is debranded. Battery life on my LG8120 and Motorola C975 is good.

Perhaps you would care to list the features that WONT work.......

Steve's right.

Don't listen to people that have no experience with the third generation of 3g handsets - or worse still, continually choose the NEC crap even after several warnings.
