Would you go back to the vet?
I got a steroid inhaler for use with a special face mask for my dog's bronchitis. The inhaler was bought from a pharmacy with a vetinary prescription.
You are supposed to give a quick spray into the air to check it is working before use. Like a numpty I did this without shaking first and it released a strong smell. I am now doing it properly and shaking before administration but I've done a couple more tests into the air and there is barely any smell. So I'm concerned that what remains is a very low concentrate ie too low a dose. Am I being paranoid? Would you go back to the vet, fess up and ask for another prescription? |

it might be worth a call to check with them if they think the medication will still dispense at the correct dosage/mixture
don't berate yourself too much, it's an easy mistake to make. best to check with the vet if you're not sure of anything though

A friend advised me to give the pharmacist a ring first. I did and the advice was that I should get a new inhaler. So at least I was able to ring the vets with a bit of authoratitive knowledge on my side.
The vets issued a new prescription free of charge. So at least she is getting more than a squirt of nothing now
