I just switched my ISP to BT..

Anyone else found it a pain to claim the Sainsburys voucher they are offering to join them??

I went online to claim it...
No matter how hard I tried it wouldn't accept the 2 security words...

So I rang the number they give you,,,
They told me to" speak to a live online advisor"
I did this..
All they could offer was a call back in the next 24 hours...

What is going on???

I'll wait for this call back and see if they can finally resolve this...

Why do they have to make it so hard??

I eventually managed to activate it after five or six attempts - you do have to wait however until after your activation day. But it is hard work - and the form is confusing because it refers to applying for BT broadband before May 2013 (i.e. its not been updated).

You should get this email (plus a similar onscreen message) once its been sorted - however you may have to wait up to 45 days (i.e. six and a half weeks) to receive it:

"Thank you for choosing BT and claiming your Sainsbury's Gift Card.

What happens next?
1) We need to check that you are eligible for this offer.

This will involve making sure that your order is both installed and was placed online during the dates specified here. Please note, if you do not meet this criteria, you will not receive a Gift Card.

2) Providing you are eligible, you should receive your Gift Card within 45 days of your broadband installation. We will post the card to your installation address.

Thank you for choosing the UK's most popular broadband provider.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact us here.

Happy Shopping!

The BT.com team"

Good luck - nearly 7 weeks to post a voucher?!

I found the process quite simple and mine arrived within 2 weeks.

Well I'm still waiting for a call back from them...
I wonder how many just give up and don't bother?

It took about 10 days for mine to arrive

But there is no value on the face of the card

It arrived attached to something akin to a birthday card with little info on it

Anyone know how to see the value on the card,as the BT offer has changed from £60 to £100

I took up the offer @ £100 , but is there anyway to tell ?

It could be embarrassing to turn up and spend £100 at Sainsburys to find on £60 loaded on it

Phone the 0800 number on the back
0800 63 62 62 then option 3 then option 2.
Type the large number in then hash. Next the 4 digit code under scratch thing and hash.

I know this off by heart now.
The first voucher they sent me had zero balance. Should have been 25. They rectified it by doubling it

I received mine today and registered it here:-

http://www.sainsburysbusinessdirect.co.uk/

I was pleasantly surprised because when I signed up for infinity the offer was for a £50 voucher. After registering the card and checking the balance it shows £100 on the card.

Sent a message yesterday via email but going to be a delay in replying because of demand for BT sport so they say. I'll give it to monday or so see if they get back to me if not phone them I guess (that's what i'm trying to avoid at any cost incase I get through to their lovely indian call centre)

If its just a standard Sainsburys gift card, you don't have to spend it all at once!!

SUPPOSED to be eventually getting my gift card 2nd september but that going to be more or less a full 3 months after I was activated and only for £50 (better than nothing) we will see if it actually turns up then or I am going to be waiting longer

Ordered mine the day after activation, took about a week to appear through my letterbox. Pretty good really, though I had nothing like an email telling me I could claim it & from where. I had to look that up independently, I guess they are hoping people forget/ don't bother.

They had various offers on depending when you signed up, anything from £25 - £100.00. Got my order when it was £75.00, but BT cocked it up But then on the plus side due to their cock up I got Infinity2 & anytime calls for £21.00pm plus line rental .
