I think Alcide needs better writing to be honest.

Arlene, Terry and Andy work better as background characters though.

I love how this season is going. I am glad that The Authority are not in this season.

Great episode, just getting a bit annoyed with the werewolf storyline, I think they need to wrap it up fairly soon as it's starting to look a bit messy.

I was shocked to see Sarah again this episode. Love her big F you to Steve.

Wonder if Steve will escape the vamp jail. I suspect with all the info he knows he will stick around for a few more episodes.

The pack storyline is not that good I agree. Plus its so obvious the fairy guy is Warlo. I will be shocked if he is not. (The young guy that is). Loved the Eric scenes. They where the best part of episode.

Best episode we've had so far. I'm really enjoying this season.

Eric and Willa, interesting scenes but a little predictable that the latter would be a vampire sympathiser though.

Ginger was amusing as per usual and it's nice to see Tara and Pam's different stances on how to deal with Willa.

Burrell was a bit stupid in this episode but I'm sure he'll get smarter next week.

Not too surprised with Sarah's move into politics but her scenes with Steve were fun to watch and his cowardice was amusing as well too.

Sookie and Bill - loved that kitchen scene, still suspicious of Ben and curious about why Jason keeps getting headaches and passing out.

Nice to see Nora for a few seconds in this one and Niall is brilliant.

Shame to lose Claude and the fairy club to be honest and it's interesting that Andy's daughters have become part of Bill and Jessica's solution too.

Nicole was more likeable in this one though the VUS are just dumb, though not as dumb as Alcide and the wolves are.

Lafayette needs more to do this season though and glad that Sam rescued Emma as well.

Overall, an extremely enjoyable episode, 9/10.

Yes I'm loving the synthesising of fairy blood so they can be day walkers, I dunno if anyone else has picked this up from me, but, 'I REALLY WANT THEM ALL TO DAY WALK' that would be awesome!!!!

The wolf scenes were still boring though but I can see it getting better when they're exposed.

what is wrong with Jason? it looks really bad whatever it is and it's knocking him out. I was surprised Bill didn't just drag Sookie off when she refused to cooperate, he is on a mission to save the vampires so why did he walk away? Loved Eric in this episode but Pam is irritating, still enjoying this season, miles ahead of last year. Can't wait for Warlow to make an appearance and it really get going. Nice to see Ginger again she is so funny and Sarah Newlyn getting revenge was priceless, roll on next week

So sookie is dead to bill but he didn't drag her away and force her cooperation... I found that odd too.

Surely royal fairy blood would be better than normal fae blood..

Poor Jason, I think he's finally worn out his brain cell

Loving Nialls presence, he adds some direction to the story, rather than having to rely on Sookie.

I'm hoping that Tara fleeing with the governor's daughter leads to some good scenes between her and Pam. They've been sorely lacking thus far.

Great to see Jessica looking so hot.

Alcide used to be such an interesting character. Since becoming the pack leader, he's quite boring now.

Niall is making this season for me at the moment! Ben is quite interesting too, will be good to see how he develops. I do think there's something he's not telling us though.

Not really enjoying the Bill scenes, but Jessica is still my favourite vamp girl! She makes all the scenes better with Bill.

I think Ben was spared by Warlowe in the fairy club massacre so he has a fairy to breed with Sookie, Niall vs Bill Vs Warlowe for the future of fairies/vampires.

The werewolf scenes are a waste of the special fx budget. They are a bunch of overly aggressive idiots who can turn into dogs, a single vampire would slaughter them all (and hopefully will) and the only reason they haven't is because literally nobody cares about a bunch of over aggressive dog people living in a hut in an age of hi-tech humanity, fairy royalty and ancient vampires. The only currency they bring to the show are the naked scenes. As for Andy's fairy offspring, hopefully Billith eats them all.

Rest of the show seems to be picking up from the awfulness of last year.

Mr hunky 'oh noes I was attacked' guy sookie found is obviously Warlow, the fairy king seems very powerful but with an air of eccentric incompetence, guessing he dies and turns sookie into a fairy queen who has a baby with Billith. God I can't believe I'm writing this. The shows really become pure fantasy now.

Hmm I dunno about the new guy. It just seems a little too obvious that he might be warlowe. Surely the fairy king would know???

Niall apparently knows what he looks like and can sense his presence or that of his progeny. I doubt he'd let Ben near Sookie if he wasn't sure he was a fairy, the real question is how did he get so close to Sookie's home and so far from the club, we see Warlowe broke through the barrier and killed everyone at the club... Ben is not dead... it's fairly obvious he's been spared for a reason, Niall just doesn't know that.

I thought episode 3 was pants to be honest. I don't care about the wolf pack. Alcide has about as much personality as a grape at this point and why we should care about little Emma wolf at this point is beyond me. I think we needed more development of what was going on with the shape shifters, because they're much more interesting than a pack of dogs running around the place. The vampire support group (or whatever they are called) was the only highlight, especially seeing the majority of them slain. Now if they could just do the same with the wolves, this season might be worth watching.

That's the trouble with this show, the writing just doesn't quite cut it. Characters that no one gives two sh**s about get attention and the ones we really love and want to see more of get ignored or only a few lines.

It's a good possibility I think.

Am I the only one who burst out laughing when Bill went up in flames after standing in the sunlight? I found that so funny and that it served him right for being so cocky.

How's Ben? I love Rob Kazinsky
Sez! This is the reason I have also hunted out this thread

Although, I will say i have watched True Blood since the beginning. I was starting to lose faith in it until they announced his casting and then i couldnt resist having a look - now they have sucked me back in.

I think he's defos dodgy but i dont think he IS Warlow - Grandpa Niall could sense Warlow from outside the house (or was it just Nora all along?)

Either way I cant see a full on ancient vamp wondering in and him not batting an eyelid

I though that was really funny too, although I thoght he was actually going to be a day walker until he did catch fire. Still surprised he let Sookie off the hook when he couuld have picked her up and dragged her off to give her blood.

It wasn't just you. I've found myself laughing so much in the three episodes I've watched so far that I've wondered whether the show has turned into a comedy. For example, the nonsense with Warlow is so cheesy (fairy grandfathers...I mean really) that I can't take any of it seriously.

But seriously, this season isn't impressing me at all. Again, the show's biggest problem is that they have way too many characters and way too many terrible subplots being given to them. Alcide's story is so overcooked right now that it resembles a piece of coal, and I'm already over Andy and the fairy babies.

I honestly don't know why I'm still watching. I found season five to be awful and I'm finding this season to be pretty equal to that (albeit with the added hilarity), but there must be something making me come back every week. God knows what.

No, I think loads did to be honest.

It was amusing enough.

Add me to the ranks of unbelievers. It's better than the last Series but still laughably bad. When Bill burst into flames I just thought "Don't worry mate, you have a little lie down and you'll be right as rain in about 5 nano-seconds", and of course he was. Same as Tara getting shot with a top-secret high velocity vampire slaying bullet, which was about as effective as hitting her over the head with a water-filled balloon.

And I don't know if it's just me, but the acting seems to be cringeworthy at the moment, like a poorly directed school play.

Thank god for Game of Thrones is all I can say. Please god don't let it descend into the mess that True Blood has become.

I think Alan Ball's exit from the show has led to it being a bit more a pastiche compared to the tone of the first 3 seasons which was an odd blend of supernatural, sex and B movie horror.
