What a fantastic finale.

I'm so happy that Tim won. Thoroughly deserved in my opinion.
And I really can't fault the last five standing. That was a very strong finish in my view.

Loved the excitement when there were just three of them in the garden, the news section, and most of all, Big Brothers talking about Tim's time in the house when he was alone in the garden at the end.

Fantastic result. Great finalists. Brilliant show.

Hat's off to BBAU. They showed how well it can be done.

There wasn't one clique trying to run the whole show like last year, it was a great season. Not everyone got along, but it would have been pretty boring if they had. If Tahan had honesty (which she did) there was equally honesty in the 7th series. And the intruders at least weren't boring like Nathan, Sam.

What a final! I enjoyed every bit of it. Tahan was my favourite housemate by the end but Tim was a really deserving winner. He played the game every step of the way and like BB said to him at the end, he took the viewers with him all the way. He was equally infuriating and entertaining at times but like someone said on the last page, his positives outnumber his negatives (for me at least).

Glad Jade didn't win. As much as she was easier to tolerate once Ed was evicted she was such a sop for at least half the series I would have been disappointed if she'd been rewarded for it . Happy to hear it will be back next year but it's got a lot to live up to because I think this was one of my favourite series of Big Brother ever!

He was also arrogant and thought that the show was all about him. His comments on Monday's show where he said he would be so surprised if he was one of the two to be evicted then.

I didn't watch it last year, but from what I've read, I don't think I would have liked Benjamin winning either and I can see why people disliked him. Shame that for me, it's been two undeserving winners in a row.”

Tim is a better winner than Ben last year even though he did have arrogance. The problem for me this year is it's been pretty predictable with a manipulated storyline and narrow non-changing roles for the HMs. Tim was a favourite early on and portrayed as the main player and puppetmaster. Tahan was portrayed as the mean girl and that never really changed much. Jade was the lovesick showmance HM who got the sympathy vote. None of that ever changed, and as a live and not prepackaged show BB needs a more flexible approach and coverage of more of the cast.

Overall a good series, but not the best ever. The only ones who say that tend to be those outside of Australia who are sick of the version in their own country. The British one did go downhill on CH5. The US one really isn't that bad if you look past the paltry number of HLs shows which makes viewers up to half a week behind the action.

I really enjoyed the year Jamie won. it had everything , including that last friday night live and the leap of faith they had to do, they were well tested that year.

Negatives: Preferred last year's finale, found this one overlong - too drawn-out.

I wish Mikayla had made final five instead of Jade, and that Tim, Tahan and Drew had been final three

Positives: Delighted Tim won - he made the show for me, together with BB himself who was amazing.

I've never laughed so much at any reality show as I have at this one. Totally, totally brilliant.

I don't think he was *that* bad in terms of sucking up the public. After sitting through a whole summer of Dexter, whose every single move was purely designed to come across in a positive light, Tim just felt more like a bored little schoolboy who did a lot things for his own amusement value. If he just wanted the public to love him, he wouldn't have done a lot of the deliberately arsey things he did (like eating the Ben & Jerrys every time). He's definitely immature but I can't think of many BB winners who aren't).

I don't know about that - there were a lot of episodes edited in Tahan's favour (like the third wheel task etc). I felt she got a much more nuanced edit than, say, Gina.

I didn't enjoy BBAU9 much at all - the dominant alliance got away with glowing edits the entire time (look at the way they edited the world's dullest himbo Josh combared to any of the eye-candy guys this year. Or Michael, who was 100 times more irritating than Tim, but seemed to get an even more favourable edit for most of the show ). This year was a huge improvement, even with some of the "forced" things (Tim as a genius puppetmaster Maddy being put in to woo Ed ).

I still think BB14 was better because it was a far more raw/real, but I'd take BBAU10 over the last two UK series easily.

It may not have been the best series for you. It was for me. We are all able to have our own views and opinions on this. Others from various countries, including many American posters on Behind Big Brother thought it was way better than theirs, especially their last series. Many of the Australian posters watch ours, and whilst they said they like our's, they also think they do it better. I agree with them, and some others here and elsewhere do - and some do not. Personal choice.

Great series and terrific that Tim won.
I so wish there was some way to persuade BBUK producers/task managers to introduce elements of BBAU to the UK series.
The nomination procedure is so much better - allowing so many points to the nominated housemate. The 'no nonsense' attitude to rule breaks - we could do with that also! As for interference, BBAU kept it to a minimum, unlike UK.
I guess what I appreciate most about BBAU is the crowd control, and the lack of moronic booing that anyone going into the UK house is subjected to.
Really enjoyed BBAU this year - one of the best.

I got little upset watching the finale as I didn't want it to be over ahah So happy with the result, I was rooting for Tim as soon as he walked in. I'm surprised on first impressions Tahan lasted so long but I'm glad she did, brilliant housemate

Bit disappointing though that Tim didn't have an interview.

I can't wait for it to come back, I much prefer BBAUS over ours. Bring on BBCAN!

I'm pleased with the results, would have liked Drew to be top 3 but he seemed happy enough to go he knew he wasn't going to win.

The finale show was way better than our IMO bit too long and the weird lantern dance was odd. But preferable to ours which seems so rushed.

I will defintely be watching again next year.

It only revolved around him because he MADE it revolve around him. That was my point I tried to make yesterday. He thought the show was all about him and said and did whatever it took to try and make himself popular with the public. It was very fake. I hate seeing people playing up to the cameras.

Quote:
“I think Mikkayla running around saying that Tahan was somehow rigging the votes wherever she could in the run up to the final was about as mean as you could ever be to anyone by the way, thats pure vindictiveness and I do wonder how much that affected things. She may think they were the nice group, mikk was very much a mean girl.”

In a way, that's sort of what Tim was doing. He kept telling the viewers who we should like and shouldn't like and why, and when the tables were turned on him, he would act all innocent like he hadn't done anything wrong. I don't understand why it's okay for him to be like that and not others. I think it's double standards.

Same. Having the 6 most nominated HM's up also makes it far more likely for the boring ones to be booted out first. Although saying that Ed did last a long time

I think Tim & Drew are going travelling together! I would LOVE to see that!

No live feed, which is essential for the public vote version. So there's plenty of manipulation.

As I already said. We ALL have our own, valid, opinions. Live feed or not, manipulation or not. My favourite series - which is very different to saying it is the best series. Each to their own.

My favourite ever too. I was so pleased he won. He entertained me throughout.

I can't wait for next years too.

Really enjoyed the finale, and loved the upbeatness of it compared to BBUK- and so what if it was manipulated to a degree, you have to expect that with BB now- the UK version is manipulated to the hilt, and so miserable in comparison.

I would have liked Tahan to win but I wasn't unhappy that Tim did as he was a fantastic housemate.

I never said the CH5 version was any good. It just proves my point though that people keep comparing it to that.

Ditto!

I'm more excited for BB Aus returning next year then I am our version!

So am I. Would also like to add that a big part of the fun has been the friendly banter between lots of us on here. It's good to hear who everyone likes and why, and how we sometimes see things differently - but still remember it's fun and entertainment above all.
Always enjoyed your posts, Pinkyminxy.

I think I'd be willing to put Tim as my fave housemate ever aswell.

I was concerned the last few weeks of the series were dragging but now it's over I'm really missing it.
On twitter Drew tweeted about being back to 'sharing a room with this idiot' again along with a picture of Tim in bed. lol
Made me nostalgic.

I guess it's true when they say you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone.

Aww, thanks

I agree, overall there has been great discussion here and we've all remained respectful and more civil then what happens on the main forum when our BB is running!

It's been great to back a HM who the majority of us have loved!

So am I!

I just think there's a much better atmosphere surrounding the show, and I'm finding myself really missing watching them now it's over, even the ones I wasn't as bothered about.

I hope they keep the finale dance routine with the ex housemates next year. Yes, it's a bit cringy if they can't dance (), but it's just good fun and a really positive way to bring in the end. Compare it with ours, where the ex housemates mostly come out to boos.

I rewatched last year's Gangnam Style one the other night, that was good too!

I also like how each former housemate had their own little mini recap, too. Well, apart from poor Justynn . I know he never graduated past Intruder status, but I class him as a housemate still. He was a part of the show after all. But, yeah, other than that I loved it.

The whole finale just felt like an event actually
