Just watched episode 2, I'm really enjoying it! A nice replacement for ours, which I've not watched for over a week now!

I really hope Drew and Jade pass the task, but I don't reckon they will. I feel bad for them, they both seem really nice and they're just being bombarded with questions at every turn. I didn't like them questioning Jade about Drew's birthday in front of everyone, I would have felt really uncomfortable there. Was it Jasmin, Heidi and Sharon there?

On a more shallow note, I certainly wouldn't mind sharing a Honeymoon Suite with Drew.

I can't believe they've already broken a housemate.

Well Big Brother is originally a Netherlands produced series, and in the Netherlands they did 'rich and poor' in the 2001 and 2002 series. So it is not like BBAU got its twists from BBUK, they got them from the original BB. And since BBAU is produced by the original Dutch producers (Endemol), if they got an idea from anyone - they got it from themselves.

BBAU did 'two houses' (they were later merged by removing a wall), in 2003. Both places were equally luxurious though. BBAU also had a real couple who had to conceal their relationship (2007, I think.)

The cast may be better overall, but it is very early days to say.

And Sonia, well I have to disagree. She is still trying way too hard with her arch comments which are meant to have us laughing with her. Really she just talks too much, for instance in the first part of ep2 with the supposedly 'live' sections (that miraculously had swearing bleeped out) where she was talking over it pointlessly. Bring back Gretel!

I don't mind the rich/poor divide if it really is made hard.


And a windup merchant is a good thing, we don't want it to be a nice happy divide, what would be the point of that?

The other twist isn't promising. It didn't work well in BB8 and I doubt it would here either. A much better twist is someone in a relationship in the house and trying to hide it, which has been done successfully in the Australian one before.

I haven't watched any of this series yet, gunna download the first few eps tomorrow. How good is it so far? A mate who has watched it says tahan is beautiful and reminds him of someone else. Would you advise me devoting my time to it? Cheers

Great second episode, love both Jade and Drew (he has gorgeous eyes!) I really hope they pass the task. I thought the ring not fitting properly was going to scupper them straight away.

X Factor beat it again though by 500,000 viewers.

I realy wish they'd stop referring to them as 'half-way housemates', getting horrible BB8 flashbacks.

Staged fights on BB always look fake as hell, that will make them question it even more.
