I don't see the problem but just checking if i have missed anything, From what I can tell it seems okay to use a DSL lead with an ADSL filter to convert the RJ11 tip to a UK phone socket tip.

It will do the job but if you plug a phone into the ADSL socket on a filter the phone will be unfiltered. If you have ADSL on your line then there is potential to screw up your broadband.

If you plug it into an extension socket that is connected to a filtered master socket faceplate then that isn't a problem. If you do have broadband without a filtered master socket then you either need to plug the filter you are using as an adapter into another filter or obtain an RJ11 adapter and plug that into the phone socket of a filter.
