Outgoing calls only on Vodafone

Strange problem with my friends phone.

She has it on a Vodafone pay as you go, and at the momnet she can only make out going calls. If you try and call her, you get nothing. Not even her voicemail or a message from Vodafone telling you to call back later???!!!

She phone the help line, they were no help what so ever, so she tried a vodafone shop. They tried to use her sim in one of their phones, and still same problem. Outgoing is fine but incomeing will just not work. They tried all different ideas, but not luck. They have now given her a new sim and she is waiting for it to be come active.

But I can not see this being any help, as if it was a sim problem then she would not be able to make an outgoing call, and also I would have thought it would have gone to voicemail when you called her???

Anyone had any simler problems, or have any idea on how to solve the problem.

Just had a call from her, and now it works!! Not sure if it is the new sim or the old that is working?? I am sure it was the old sim that was in the phone, but she says it was the new one? Hope it is other wise I guess it will stop working again.

One thing I did notice was that the new sim card looked like it had a lot more sections, does anyone know if this is true and what they are for/ the advartages??

I would I ask my friend but, she is a female who the saying women and tecnolgy should not mix, is correct .

Very odd. I had a problem with my v600, it all of a sudden wouldnt accept my o2 sim but would accept all other network sims ok. You could make/receive calls send/receive txts no problem with other network sims but wouldnt take ANY o2 sims. The phone was brandnew and unlocked. Sent away to motorola they couldnt find out what was wrong so replaced it. all works now fine
