Well he's not on a date with anyone from DS.

She seemingly warmed to him, but I couldn't see that from the bits of the date we saw, maybe it was nerves or she's not very expressive.

was ian the maths teacher? and if he is, then yes i agree; i thought they made a really lovely couple...

the marilyn monroe woman was a total shocker!! i couldnt believe she threw such a strop...

the hyperactive twin who went to oxford really annoyed me and so did hugo- both too loud and showing off in my opinion...

Very little seems to have been made of the bill issue this series, they haven't focused on it much.
Goes pretty much without comment on this thread too.
Fair number of youngsters and students involved and it's not cheap the Chop house, surprised there isn't more discussion over the bill.

What did Forensic Psychology girl eat in the end, long list of dislikes would pee off a lot of people.

The Marilyn Monroe wannabe was so up herself and really not that pretty when you looked past the hair and the boobs. He deserved so much better. Poor man.

I, too, wanted an update on the maths teacher and radiographer.

Still sick of the sight and sound of the creepy maitre d'. He loves the sound of his own voice so much and what he says bores me to tears.

Didn't like the blonde woman at all but the fireman let himself down by quibbling over the bill with her. She obviously didn't have any sort of conscience about bleeding him dry so she was never going to be shamed into coughing up half. He looked a broken man at the end, how could a guy get to his age and never encounter a money grabber before?
Its probably a little too soon after his ex for him to be dating, there's still a bit of anger there imo.
I liked Geo, he's only a kid but he has a lot of life in him, happy guy. The guy dating the twin seemed a bit too good to be true but think she's right to take a wary punt on him just in case, he was very handsome.
I loved the twins, its great to see people behaving naturally on reality TV. They seemed like lovely girls, especially the non-hyper girl, both very pretty too. Wasn't keen on Hugo, the buzz lightyear look wasn't good. Nobody should do impressions on a first date, they're only ever funny when you know the person well.

Wonder why there wasn't an update for maths teacher/radiographer. Liked them together, not bothered about playing up to the cameras to be on tv just both seemed to genuinely want to meet someone.
As for the bill issue, I don't believe that they are expected to pay. Surely c4 or the production company pay up? They take over the chop house on filming days so guess the restaurant loses its regular customers. I'd have thought they pay the chop house an upfront fee and maybe give the daters a budget and if the choose to cane the booze they have to cough up the extra. After all, Goggleboxers get their takeaways paid for 😜

I don't want to see the French guy talk to the camera, I don't want to see the staff larking about. I want to see people on their blind dates, getting on well or not at all. The small bits of conversation mixed in with constant shots of people laughing or smiling or making awkward faces that are clearly edited together and out of any form of context is just stupid.

BBC 3 did a show about this years ago and it was actually great. Everyone sat down at tables and chatted away. the room was noisy and the camera jumped from couple to couple and we got to see raw, unedited footage of their conversations, not this faux-drama where every couple is introduced the same way, awkward extreme close-ups of their face and the usual dross we get. I did like this show, but it's getting boring and repetitive very quickly. A change of format would do wonders for it.

The Marilyn wannabe was dreadful.

Clever editing by the show. All the clips indicated that she was on some awful date when infact she was the nightmare !! Disgusting behaviour to just pass the bill to the guy. He's a divorced fireman, not exactly going to be rolling in it and even if he was that is no way to behave. Just out for a free meal and TV time.

I can't believe we didn't get an update on the maths teacher and radiographer.

Elle aka Marilyn was a parasite - ugly inside and out.

I don't think the fireman let himself down at all.

I just felt sorry for him having made the effort to put himself out there and go on TV that he was paired with her. Would put me off dating for a long time.

Can't believe he stumped up £100 for that! Think i would have put my half on the table and leave it at that.

Really? I knew from the clips that she was going to be an emotional, high-maintenance drama queen.

Awful Marilyn getup - and not flattering at all. She'd probably look quite attractive with a style makeover and hiding her bits and pieces as her shape was okay but not the details (veiny skin)! Sometimes more is more!

That's exactly what he should've done. Brilliant.

I felt sorry for the Marilyn Munro woman. She's obviously insecure and needy. She disguises this by calling it high maintenance. The fireman was a horrible specimen of a man. If he couldn't afford!to take a woman on a date he shouldn't have been doing it. They were both just assuming that the other would be handing over money and he was quite nasty about it. The way he was questioning her and looking at her was not nice to watch. Who would want to go on a date who behaved like that.

Couldn't agree more. I'd have flat out refused to pay her half of the bill, cheeky cow.

I have to admit, I have a massive soft spot for Geo

I thought I was the only one who is bored with the staff intrusions and that man Fred.... I would hate to go there and have staff standing staring and commenting as you enter.
