Just watched the celeb one on catch up, Georgie seemed lovely, Jamie seemed nice. That bloke with anthea wasn't even ugly! ( I read here before watching)

Do people say that about him? Blimey. Should've gone to Specsavers. I can completely understand people finding some people attractive who I don't, but him - bleurgh.

I thought Geo looked a bit like Steve Coogan.

So the second twin only likes bad boys but wont be rushing into anything because she has been hurt so much in the past

Filming takes place on Saturdays and the restaurant is filled with people on dates all day long. Not everyone who goes is featured on the show, hence why you often see people in the background on dates or giving "noddies" that you never see again.

The couples have to pay for the meal themselves but they are given £25 each by the production team. Dates are supposedly matched to have the best chance of success, and not just to make good TV (not sure I quite believe that, though!)

Some of the waiting staff are actors (and so have plenty of experience working in restaurants and behind bars!)

Wow! So 'Marilyn' basically only paid five pounds towards the meal.

I'd guess that the waiting staff who're beginning to act in a rather inappropriately forward manner are actors trying to sneakily develop their parts. Actors or not, how long before we start to see them in CBB, or the jungle?

Still sick of the sight and sound of the creepy maitre d'. He loves the sound of his own voice so much and what he says bores me to tears.”

If she'd been my date for the evening I'd have made a dash for the exit before she'd even made it to the bar

What an overweight, flabby, self obsessed and over-decorated cow she turned out to be.

The woman that looked like Marilyn Monroe's mother needs a reality check and I hope the person that gives it to her lets her down gently.

I'm in total agreement with everybody that is irritated by the maitre d' who has managed to make the French accent sound horrible.

Oh you sound like a keeper, someone who'd do a runner.
You'd get FM's wishing all kinds of violent retribution on on you, considering a bloke who checked his phone while on a date got called a Total Bastard.

Having watched and enjoyed all the series to date (although I preferred the earlier ones), last week I finally bailed. For some reason I just couldn't sit through another episode - it was like groundhog day.

I think a lot of it has to do with the Maitre D'. The rot started in the previous series when he took over, and now it's beyond annoying when we have to hear him spout the same pseudo-philosophical, repetitious drivel every episode. I also don't like how he (and increasingly Cici the waitress, who I really fancied before) gate-crashes dates and inserts themselves into the story.

I'm surprised Cici doesn't carry with her a portable spotlight on a selfie stick. She was totally over the top when she basically hijacked the date between the two gay guys a few weeks ago and caused one of them to feel really bad.

It's interesting that in the comments here during the last series the Maitre D' had a lot of support and people generally liked him (especially the female posters) but it looks like the tables have turned, judging by the comments this series.

I think the insertion of the staff into the narrative has spoilt the show, but also I hate the lack of follow up. It leaves me feeling frustrated at the end as we don't really know what happened to any of them, and if people appeared to really click it's important to know how the story ended.

No he says it about other people. Just in his accent it sounds funny, probably just me being silly!

Does anyone else find the bartender attractive, or is it just me?

I love the way he smiles at people as he looks up to glance at them.

Yes, all the females who post here like him. I can understand why, as he's not doing the 'look at me' thing and he's genuinely warm, interested in the people perched at the bar and a nice guy.

I've only seen the show twice earlier in the series, but I saw a clip of her on a trailer, was she on this week? I need to watch it on catch up... I went out with her twice a few months ago!

Tell us more! Is she as awful as she came across (obviously you need to watch the episode first)? I suppose she can't have been that bad if you saw her a second time! Would you see her again? Are you skint now?

First time we just went for a couple of drinks I a couple of pubs... She had told me she didn't do pubs, but I took her anyway,, did a mini pub crawl..Second time, went to Italian restaurant and then a pub after... She bumped into someone she knew in the toilet and went to a club.. I dint join! She had quite a short temper, and didn't ask any questions about me.. Wore low cut dress the first date and the second date at dinner it was almost embarrassing how low it was... She mentioned her boobs a good few times...
Doesn't come across as a nice person, rates herself a lot..We are still in touch from time to time...well I sent her a message a few weeks ago I saw her on the trailer fro the show

Did she offer to pay for anything? Was she ordering shots all night?
I laughed at her necking the entire glass of wine, not exactly a Marilyn thing to do.
