The waiter going on a date is when First Dates jumped the shark for me,, the annoying Maitre D ruins it, but now the staff getting involved has gone to far, i dont watch this for the staff or to hear the Maitre D
For what started out as a great little show, Channel 4 sadly are intent on ruining it. The painfully annoying forced toilet breaks complete with phone calls were one thing. The massive massive overexposure of the staff to the point where they interrupt every date was another. The painfully painfully annoying Maitre D with his ridiculous monologues and looming presence were bad enough but this rehearsed, silly and bizarre "plot" twist really damaged the brand for me.

I'm with you! The show was much better without input from ANY of the staff.

My sentiments exactly. I'm interested in seeing two people wanting to go on a date but I have no interest in one person that wanted to go on a date and one person that didn't.

Yes! I have a feeling they've now run this show into the ground
