Big country house, he mentioned it so many times. Kerching! I am so cynical. I hate myself for it.

That was the most contrived set up I've ever seen. The Maître d' should sod off too!!!

I hope the proposal clip was a trick and it's a different couple who get engaged.

It was only a matter of time. Channel 4 should realise that most people aren't interested in the bloody staff, or their creepy love philosophies.

I agree, cut out the staff and make the series shorter because 24 episodes is too many.

Thought the waiter Sam could do better than Sasha. Looks like she had the nose job her ex boyfriend suggested she have - her face was so plasticky! The constant talk of her "low self esteem" whilst fishing for compliments was also grating. You're not going to find self esteem from a man, love, try developing it yourself by realising your value doesn't lie in the way you look.

I enjoyed the interaction between the two ladies - I thought the dark haired one had a sexy allure to her. The silver haired one was quite sweet too.

I thought the dark haired one was a bit up herself. I thought the grey haired one was just lovely, she deserved better!

is it weird that i personally found it a bit creepy and sleazy how the waiter pounced on the girl who was stood up

agree with others that they're really ruining what was a great series with all the added staff crap....

Hmmm. She seemed simply self-assured to me, as opposed to 'up herself'. I think she had sex appeal, and like she knew what she wanted sexually.

But the other lady was indeed lovely, and I really felt for her, as she was clearly crushed her feelings weren't reciprocated. Never pleasant to be knocked back.

I seem to be the only one on DS that likes the added interaction and commentary from the staff. I think Cici in particular is great, and I have a crush on Merlin the bartender.

I cringed at the way she lapped up the compliments.

I like some of the staff but the waiter set up was horrendous. I too find the barman attractive.

I thought the "numbers" girl in this week's episode was lovely.

You must have missed her expressions then...she was clearly taken with him and he matched what she was looking for, e.g. age etc. They both want kids too.

I think it's lovely.

I don't mind the staff interaction when it's general staff/punters chatter, but they don't leave much of it in anymore.
I think they've over done it with Fred and his 'of great pith and moment' pieces to camera.
It seems they (production staff) try too hard with the after date interviews, even trying to talk people into a kiss who clearly won't make it to date two.
I want to see a return of paying the bill, I don't get how a bloke is still expected to shell out in this day and age.

Oh and another thing.
Anna (Caramac Phil Mitchell) started dancing the other week, and she was showing herself up.
Billy's date, woman in her 70's gets up and dances and it's acceptable.
That's reverse ageism isn't it?

Maybe you missed Anna the first time round since this was her 2nd time dating there.

The first time she was VERY drunk and danced a lot, whilst singing, embarassing her date. Perhaps the Maitre D' was trying to avoid that recurrence. She did look like she was told off though and I felt sorry for her. Her vibe was all about having a good time though, i.e. assured sex than finding a meaningful relationship...which was fine since her date was clearly up for just that too!

Would she have moved in with him after 3 weeks if he lived in a terrace though?

I seriously doubt it.

Depends on the quality of their relationship I would say - the way they looked at each other told me they were both pleasantly surprised and excited. When you have found the right person, such elementals as the size of the house is not a swaying factor.

I don't like First Dates. It tries to hard to cater to every weirdo instead of a normal date. And the bearded host who is at the door as the stupid dates come in is weird too.

Sometimes you just know you've found the right person, you can often know that instantly.
Let's face it they aren't daft teenagers, she's almost 30 and he's almost 40.
They both want kids, in fact she wanted 5 of her own plus 2 adopted. She needs to get a move on.

Good luck to them.

I didn't really like the set up with the waiter, the way it was edited with shots of him keeping looking at her was kind of obvious what would happen. However please don't drop the waiting staff, the two girls are damn right gorgeous.

Sasha had to constantly operate a foot pump to stop her face imploding during the date.

Had to laugh when the "It Girl" suddenly remembered that she had some prior engagement arranged that she couldn't quite recall.

Caramac Phil Mitchell is what she called her first date, I remember it.
I'm referring to her last date on the program.

Never mind...

'Stupid dates?' Lazy, ineffective use of adjectives!

I rejoice in what makes most people unique rather than conventional i.e. when they feel free/confident enough to be who they truly are rather than conform. Actually I felt this last programme was relatively free of noticeable 'weirdos' as you call them (I prefer the term eccentrics although I know there can be a fine line between that and being unhinged).

Would lesbos be weirdos to you? Only one 'weirdo' stood out to me - the one who had numerical OCD. She favoured certain numbers i.e. 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11. Hence I found it incongruous that she did not see 5 negatively since her parents divorced when she was 14 (1=4=5) - a major event in her life!
