Well if that's the case, they should stop, the celeb is going to tell them before the date's finished anyway, usually when they're asked what job they do.

Yes, it suits the wife to not admit her husband is a lying cheating scumbag, who cared more about his own selfish needs more than her and their children!

Exactly! If my husband ever had an affair then I would blame him fair and square. Unless he was having an affair with one of my friends and they'd both be in for it. However, that's all hypothetical, as my husband is trustworthy and lovely, as are all my friends! 😃

Anyway no thoughts on the dates?
I like Scarlett a lot, so she can do very little wrong as she always makes me giggle, I'd have liked to seen the reaction shot of Merlin's face when she said 'I'm shaking like a $hitting dog'
Her date did chunter on going all over the place at times, I'm sure one of his dogs died twice.

I liked Jo too, the Aliens thing is a bit worrying, thought she and Ernest would get a second date at least.

Scarlett's date Tommy was a laugh, eh? NOT! I liked Jo, nice and normal. Liked her date too.

Ernesto did remind me of an actor, it wasn't Al Pacino though. I have been racking my brains all day as to who he reminded me of and I've just got it. He's been in loads of things as a support actor, but the thing I remember him as was the one armed man in The Fugitive with Harrison Ford.

Anyone know how I add a picture in as a link?

Is he that dull that he is being upstaged by his umbrella?

Such a wimp but he did make me laugh when he said he would be having 'my usual evening cry'.

Is it not accessible via copy and past of the URL?

That's him. He's one of those actors that you'd say, "oh yes he was in Goodfellas" when in fact he wasn't. He just looks like he should have been.
He's actually done a lot of sci-fi, apart from being a good actor, maybe his face lent itself to alien make up.

Jo Wood was lovely though, I bet she would be a "right larf." Reminded me a bit of when I read Patti Boyd's autobiography, i.e. women who have a very interesting story to tell but were constantly overshadowed by their rock star partners.

In fact, with a bit of googling, here's two pictures. The first being a young Jo Wood, and the second being the 18 year old (ish, she might have been two years older) girl he left her for.
He's like Rod Stewart, he's got a "type" and he sticks to it.

The FM was asking how to add a picture as a link.
Why don't you do it, my tech support days are over a decade ago.

I was going to take exemption to the word wimp, as it's usually used in a negative way, then I couldn't think of anything else that would fit the bill, wet, effete, I'll settle for effete.
Couple sayings we'd use 'there's no harm in him' 'there's no go in the lad'

Then again, he did walk out of Buzzcocks when they started taking the pee out of his wife, years ago.

I found him quite sweet. Not man enough for his date or I suspect many women who would want a tattooed song writer sort. He seems pretty romantic, soft natured and a bit of a home bod. Lots of us girls don't appreciate such qualities until later in life when the 'hot' relationships become plain exhausting.

Yes I do agree. I do quite like wimps i.e. prefer them to macho men!

I think he does look like Ernest. I'm not sure why Ernest thought people mistook him for Al Pacino, he looks nothing like him.

Link works for me, I always check before I post.
Someone else said it about him, he has a bit of the mob/wise guy look about him, if you've watched a lot of American movies.

Quite a good bunch tonight. Who is Paddy though? Some people on Twitter seem to know who he is.

Did that lady seriously not know who Bernie Clifton is?

I mean, if he was on the telly of a Saturday night, in the 70's running around with his ostrich, there would be like, 15 million people watching. There were only 3 channels and if you were on the telly then, to quote comedian Paul Sinha, you were proper famous.

Keegan is the Batley Bulldogs captain, I think his date was called Paddy.

The innuendos that guy was coming out with were appalling I'm glad Keegan turned him down.

They were barely innuendos. Does anyone know who Paddy is? He says (on Twitter) he's known for something from five years ago.

Keegan was dull, Paddy was a prat.

The guy from The Vamps just wanted to get laid, his date just wanted him because he was famous.

Paddy said some silly things because he felt awkward, but Keegan was like a wet weekend and made no effort. It may have just been the editing but he didn't seem to ask Paddy any questions.

The guy dating Natasha from Atomic Kitten seemed to think he was a local celebrity too from his little spiel when he first appeared (so much so that I thought he was going to be the celeb of his pair). I think he was a salesman of some sort? Has he been on one of these fly on the wall docs maybe?
