Maybe it's growing up around WAG culture?

Also, it is just me that finds it vaguely weird like with that girl and the Italian guy where they say "I want to meet someone like my mother/grandfather/uncle/whatever"? Resembling a family member is probably the last thing I want in a date (although I know they don't mean physically as such!)
<snip>”

I think it's about more than just paying the bill, at least with Ellie this week, I can't remember what Nando's girl said the other week.
Her remarks about not texting, she wants a one to one phone call, the chaps full attention, maybe she finds texting impersonal.
Maybe that's what she baulks at, as seemingly 'everyone' her age is texting, using social media, even when they're with their other half they're communicating with someone else.

I don't get the last bit, you acknowledge they're not talking about a physical similarity to their family member, then say you wouldn't want someone with a physical resemblance to a member of your family.

Casual affairs, did he mention hundreds, who did he play?
Can't women be into casual affairs or do they have to be 'played'?
Teddy and Tallulah even mentioned going out with someone 'because you can' not because you think it's going somewhere, they couldn't see the point to it.
Tallulah said she had a lot of casual affairs, one night stands, but got bored with it, did she 'play' the women involved?

Teddy and Tallulah are still very young, he was doing it up till the point where he started gaining weight.

Yuck.....that woman in the skimpy blue prostitute outfit. This was her opportunity for 15 minutes of fame and she turns up looking like a one night stand for a bloke that's just downed 10 pints.

Do you remember way back at the beginning of this series when merlin asked a woman what she was looking for and she said marriage and babies before she even met the guy that's enough to scare loads of men off. There must be some theme going on here where a lot of people expect too much too soon.

Yes I recall that and Merlin's diplomatic nodding and slight raising of an eyebrow!

Presumably such woman would not go on a date dressed like a cheap slut!? Many on the programme seem to....obviously giving the green light sex wise but the programme is supposed to be about looking for love.

For gods sake, what a pathetic and outdated viewpoint. How you dress has nothing to do with giving the green light for sex.

I realise it is not politically correct to say what I did but showing everything you have to a date is making him feel that he is quite likely to get sex from her, i.e. that she would be 'up for it'. Whether you are willing to admit it or not, we dress to express something about ourselves.

Let me be crystal clear here, I am in no way saying that by her dress she is giving permission to be raped.

Well he did ask. Some women are just after fun and arent interested in babies.

So, although the programme is said to be about people looking for love....clearly they may just agree to that just for the airtime/er...exposure!

I would only do it if they could guarantee I would be one of the couples that did not appear on the screen.

I notice you've not answered a number of questions there.
As far as I can tell you've written some backstory for the bloke based on no evidence.

Does make me wonder if they deliberately show off knowing they are on TV.

No, you think that it's the green light for sex.
Don't try using political correctness as if as if you dealing with some uncomfortable truth others won't agree with publicly.
Others don't think the same way you do, deal with it, opinions differ.

Other people would think anything tight that shows off the figure even while covering the skin is the green light.

Er...I DID deal with it! Maybe you missed the clarification. Never mind.
Yes opinions do indeed differ. Deal with it yourself!!!

Your the one trying to expand this out with him and he, rather than your own opinion.
I don't think you're in any position to give the opinion of all males.

Er....I wasn't trying to speak for all men in the first place! How ridiculous would that be!! Ha! That's your assumption!

Did you even read my clarification? It would seem not. (Sighs).

First paragraph is simply wrong. Don't assume that men are so stupid.
The second paragraph is just daft, how can you give permission to be raped? It's a contradiction in terms.

I didn't assume he was stupid - that's your own assumption there! To make an association does not necessarily make someone stupid!

You missed my point in the 2nd paragraph - I was implying how some unsavoury men might view a scantily clad woman on a date with them that's all.

Who is this him and he you're referring to then, as you're not referring to the dater in the program.

Don't care about your clarification, don't care to discuss it, nobody mentioned rape but you, got nothing to do with the point I am discussing.

Anyone watch First Dates Abroad on E4? Most recently they've had a Canadian version which is a half hour programme. Odd because in the second episode you can see couples from the first. Seems like the intention was to have the same length show as here but for whatever reason edited it into two separate editions.

In the most recent one woman announced to date she was concealing a sex toy about her person (so to speak). Now if you want a conversation stopper .....
