Don't like the producers "trying" to make stars of the owner and staff of the restaurant, their comments weren't generally relevant or needed in the context of the programme. Also, once again, as in real life, it appears that the cocky, arrogant people (like the first couple) are the ones who get the most coverage and also the most success, whilst the genuine, well mannered and "normal" people don't!. Each to their own I suppose, but arrogance is the biggest turn off in the world to me and I really couldn't watch the first couple after about their first 30 secs!!...talk about being "full of themselves"!!!

Absolutely. It was cringe worthy. I'm hoping that they only did it for the introductory episode but I think I'm going to be disappointed.

The Maitre D' is really spoiling this so far.

He wasn't that bad as a person, but who needs it? This was a cynical and childish attempt to create some more reality TV stars out of the ether and it's just not needed.

The Producers of this series don't understand what they're dealing with. The daters are the stars. We don't need any more than them and a good voiceover to keep it flowing. I don't want to hear what the waitresses, barman and manager have to say, especially as it's so excruciatingly staged.

Some of the dates, they seem to have found too many 'characters'. Mostly the painful staff talk, especially with the Maitre D'.

I love this show, so glad its back.

I think the dancers were well suited, as she didn't seem ready to settle down anyway. The beard man was very nice, but the beard was too much for me.

The short man was so loud, I was cringing at the idea of being on a date with him.

I belong to a facebook group and there are people on there who know him and apparently he's a really lovely bloke
