He wasn't that bad as a person, but who needs it? This was a cynical and childish attempt to create some more reality TV stars out of the ether and it's just not needed.

The Producers of this series don't understand what they're dealing with. The daters are the stars. We don't need any more than them and a good voiceover to keep it flowing. I don't want to hear what the waitresses, barman and manager have to say, especially as it's so excruciatingly staged.
Well said and so true.
They have messed with the format and its lost its sparkle now.
Its simplicity was the main attraction. Stupid producers ruin everything.

I'm glad it worked out for him. When he faked an orgasm (her request) and then tried to rectify her being shocked by launching into "The Holly & The Ivy" it made me laugh out loud! He has lots of personality.

Well, it was edited more simply in the first series, i.e. now it starts with so many quick snippets - too busy - before it focuses on showing the first couple at any length. The preaching/philosophy guy is not a good addition in my view...a tad patronising or obvious.

Hells teeth, Tim was making me cringe, he's just that little bit too much, but his date isn't too far behind him, so they're a good match.
Wow, she gave him a 10 at the end, so they were a good match.
Just saw the bit in the title's where he's got the shot glasses on his eyes, OFFS.

The seemed to be some chemistry been the red dress lady and her date (forgotten the names), shame we didn't get to see a bit more of them.
The 2 gay guys were entertaining enough and seemed OK.
Clippings woman, bet she doesn't bring those out again, if this show had viewers she'd be accosted in the street a told not to do that again by strangers, it was that bad

Go to say fair play to whoever's doing the matching this series, there doesn't seem to be any 'stunt' dates, where they're really really badly matched.

Oh bugger, forgot about this. It's a shame they didn't keep it to the Friday night, post Gogglebox spot, I rather enjoyed going from one to the other last week.

Is there a problem with female hormones in the tap water? All the males so far this series seem camp as a row of tents.

I also thought the meal was free, although I've seen people pay many times .....

What happens when someone, like Tim, goes back several times? That would cost him a fortune

I'm guessing Ch4 must have thought paying for meals would have relatively cheap for them in TV terms, but who pays and that whole debate is a rich seam in itself.
There's the argument it's not a real date if the TV production co pays for it too.

One the daters mentioned the date coming in at over the £50 he'd budgeted in his mind.
I'm sure I've spotted the restaurant on my travels, but the location has gone out of my head now.

Thankfully for our cringe glands and him we won't be seeing Tim again

I've often wondered if a random member of the public walked in and wanted to book a table! I suppose they say "sorry, no"!!

Very unlikely with the all the lights and about 10 crew trucks parked somewhere around the corner.
Spitalfields or somewhere around Liverpool Street area is coming to mind, need to visualise it now.
