Well, once you have described them as "astoundingly ignorant", then anyone not this would be seen as "more pleasant and interesting".
AJ's date probably would have put herself out of the running, (for me) with just the Rolex remark on it's own, but, stupid, shallow and charmless, is not a good combination.
Most annoying thing I found with Chantel (Kurt chef/army/porn) was her inability to STFU and listen a lot of the time.
She'd ask a question, listen to part of the answer then interject with her own thoughts about what he was about to say or thought.
He was thoroughly exasperated by the end and I felt his pain.
She seemed to be caught up in her wish list, just looking at him and projecting her wish list onto him.

Completely agree, she was a harpy IMO. I also thought that with her having once worked in a sex shop that she might laugh it off. I probably wouldn't be delirious at the thought that my date was a porn star, but at least I would have a laugh & a chat about it.

His family and friends will presumably be watching - not to mention her own family and friends - as well as anyone else in the country who happens to be watching. Yes the maitre'd made a fool of himself when he went over and addressed the female about her tattoos and ignored the male. He is a plonker and I wish we did not have these unnecessary additions to the format.
