Really? I find her rather worrying/tragic....clearly not a happy bunny with a drink problem like that.

Here's an idea, try it on for size, she's a woman who likes a drink and she'd got the 'flavour' that day.
Nothing more deep and meaningful than that.
She doesn't behave the way you'd like her to behave, and she probably isn't as ashamed as you'd like/expect her to be about it either.

Just an idea, mind.

This has reminded me of The Seven Sins of England on the subject of drinking, strong language and scenes of...
Still makes me smile that program.

Is that all you see....that she likes a drink? Her behaviour would suggest that she has a drink problem. Whilst drinking can be seen as socialising, when it becomes addictive it becomes "a job" (as an alcoholic put it - something they have to do).

My comment about it being tragic is levelled at where it tips over from being .... er, tipsy to compulsive drinking. Anyone who does that is not dealing with their baggage, i.e. the reasons for doing so.

It's not about her behaving as I'd like her too....she is not related to me. She is showing herself up and those that know her and have watched the programme must be embarassed.

At least he laid it on the line, in the assessment room afterwards. Good on him for doing that!

How deluded is she to try and paper over the glaring cracks and say "to be continued...." I guess he must have hurt her pride.

I think she will be Ok, No need for AA at this moment in time. I gathered it was nerves and she had a drink. I felt she was strong and I do not promote alcohol to calm your nerves. She was entertaining and the reaction of the guy made me laugh. She had lovely eyes and I am sure she will meet someone special. x

Understandable really, think I'd require a few sherberts before going on a normal date, let alone a televised blind date!

I hope you're right. I do recall her saying something to the effect that she can't be bothered with all this nice mannered eating business....wonder why she chose to go on the programme then....just to be on TV?

You've seen the women once, for what 5 minutes in a various snippets and you've come up with a drink problem?
Addictive, Compulsive, Baggage on that bit of evidence, really?

This really is about you, believe me.

I suspect you've got extremely limited experience of going out drinking/pubbing/clubbing.

If you read my post properly then you will see that I suggest she has a drink problem, i.e. am not condemning her and saying that she has!

My only addiction is crisps so wrong again! Is it more about yourself I am wondering??? Hmm...

Yes, I guess I am out of step with the current social scene but several here found her behaviour less than acceptable and even laughable. So...not just me then? Huh?

The model bloke had the personality of a peanut, it's a good job he's got his looks to rely on. As for his date, why would she need to rely on a dating show to find a partner? She's flipping gorgeous.

The waistcoat fella was dull, dull, dull. When his date asked him what he did for fun his response was priceless. Leather crafting!!! Sounds a hoot.

The blonde and the water fairy was the best date from last night, seems she is only looking for friendship though even if he was smitten. Seems she is desperate for fame if she's done Take Me Out as well.

The drunk at the end. Too much Botox and booze me thinks over the years. Felt sorry for her 'caramac Phil Mitchell' it must have been embarrassing for him to have been with that. Reminded me of one of Del's dates in Only Fools when he went to the opera.”

Sadly people like these are the ones who spoil this sort of programme. Neither would need to go anywhere near a "blind date" in "real life" if they didn't want to but they just want their "15 minutes of fame" on TV. I much prefer the dates when the people involved are just plain looking and "normal" as you then see the genuine people and you can root for them to find someone, unlike these two attention seekers.

She had a bit more than "a drink"! Didn't she say she'd been drinking all afternoon, or something? I didn't find her entertaining, she made me cringe.

think she said she had been drinking at lunch time...

i actually felt sorry for her...
maybe she is one of those people who believes she cant have fun or is no fun, unless she is drunk?

He asked her how many drinks she had and she evaded the answer.... Hmmm

I agree with you about your last comment.

The guy model was exactly how I thought he'd be. Thinks he can rely on his looks to get women and not have any sort of personality. I didn't find him attractive in the slightest.

I just don't understand it when people clam up to the point of having absolutely nothing to say, like the model did. My toes were curling. Sure, even I might find conversation a little harder than usual if I was conscious of a camera and microphone in my face, but to not be able to think of a single thing to say about anything? That seems odd to me.
