Wonder where the programme makers get the First Daters from. This black guy appears for about 1 second as an extra in Peter Kay's Car Share (Ep 1 @ 12min mark) just walking down the street in a suit. Blink and you miss it.

Some of them seem to be 'ringers' that Ch4 know from other programs or possibly have paid to appear.
Apparently Purdy from the last series also turned up in Ch4's Chicken Shop, Top knot model blokey and Dream catcher earrings blokey are both models and/or extras, there was the girl who also appeared in Take me out.
Alex has appeared in the press before.
So there are probably a few more ringers in there we don't know about, shame really, sours what could be a nice feelgood show even if people don't end up getting webbed up at the end.

There seem to be a fair number of dates that don't make the edit at all.

They didn't seem short of takers in the last series which aired as it was filmed.

Apparently the viewing figures have always been poor, so it's a surprise that it exists at all.
