IOS 7 and the blocking feature, half hearted attempt
Just been playing with the Blocking feature on the new IOS7 beta and have these views, while the blocking feature will stop text messages reaching your inbox the caller can voice call you and leave a message so can actually reach you, I would of thought that it would of been a complete block like the app you can get on a jail broken phone called 'Call blocker'

It's no different to if the phone was switched off or out of coverage. I don't see that as a huge issue.
I would imagine that solutions on jailbroken iOS that kill the call work by answering it and immediately ending it, but that would still go through to voicemail if the phone was switched off or out of coverage. If voicemail really bothers you that much then switch it off completely. |

1st off its only beta1 so who knows what's going happen with this function by the time its officially released. 2nd unless it answers the call and hangs up again this is to be expected as that's how your network behaves. The issue you've got with an answer and hang up again method is when your already on a call then your call may get cut off to perform this action. |

Roush and -Gonzo-, the network differentiates between calls which get through but are unanswered; calls that are rejected and phone off/out of range.
These are different diverts and do not all have to go to voicemail. For example, you could set up your diverts so that when your phone is off calls are diverted to a landline. Normally, call blocking software will not divert to voicemail for obvious reasons. |

if the phone is out of signal/off then, unless the network blocks it, it will go to your answerphone. An app, jail broken or not, is unlikely to change this...

Mines Jailbroken and I use iBlacklist. One of my favourite features on iBlacklist is the "accept & hangup" that prevents people from leaving a message
