Why don't people rate Jordan?

Reading through the forums Jordan seems to be in some cases underrated and in others disliked. I was wondering why: His association with Luisa or his yobbish celebration in the boardroom perhaps?

I think in the tasks he has been the best contestant possibly bar Neil.

He's lost once and is often picked to lead sub-teams showing that the other candidates rate him.

In Week 3 he had a strong PM performance
Week 2 in charge of the sub-team which manafactured the beer and did this successfully in contrast to the mess that the girls team got in.
Week 4 he came up with the buffalo meat idea
Week 5 his sub-team won the negotiation task
Even in Week 6 despite being in charge of finance he was the only person who seemed to speak up about the overspend but was ignored.

He also defended Jason in Week 1 Boardroom showing he's a decent guy

So why don't people rate him?

I think its because he hasn't contributed as visually in the last few tasks and people just forget about early positive contributions. People also tend to remember funny things about candidates (Why Jason is so popular) and the funniest things about Jordan have been his faux pas in the boardroom which gives off a negative impression.

Me, personally? I'm still defending Jordan as I do think he is one of the best, if not the best there and I do think criticisms such as "He has contributed nothing" are unfair and wide of the mark. I'm perfectly happy to see what others think though. I think he is extremely intelligent but needs to up his game.

I just find him deeply irritating, it may be down to his reaction when his team wins but I also just find his whole demeanour and everything really irritating. He hasn't done anything of note for me to be able to overlook it either, like Neil has for example.

I think he's a credible enough candidate and deserves to be there still but nothing really stands out for me.

I think his best week was when he was PM. It was still relatively early on in the process but he demonstrated decent leadership and decision making skills, and an ability to delegate correctly, especially when he asserted his authority in choosing who was going to pitch and who wasn't.

I see him more as a half decent team leader with the ability to motivate, but not someone you'd necessarily trust to stick in front of big cheeses from large corporations.

He seems to have a lack of self awareness at times in this supposed business environment- the reactions in the boardroom upon winning have already been mentioned. Add to this the smug 'cat that's got the cream' look (before the results are announced) followed swiftly by the look of a little boy lost (once he realises they lost). He's done this more than once and I think it demonstrates naievity on his part. It's not in the bag until it's signed sealed and delivered as it were. He also seemed completely lacklustere next to the forum villain Luisa when it came to selling on the last task at the caravan show.

He has a decent grasp of basic maths (it's almost embarrassing to have to list this as an attribute on a show like this, and is more a sleight on some of the other contestants) and he seems to be more in tune with profit margins and the way that business works than certain others.

I see him as a bit of a Jack of all trades to be honest, although perhaps I've been slightly harsh with my above appraisal. He seems like a decent enough guy to me in general.

I'd have him in my top 6 or so but no higher.

I thought his showing in the flat-pack episode was good and that he started off well but has dipped a little since then.

He's never been particularly focal and he's been on the winning side a lot so it's a bit hard to call for me. A reason I tend to like the later episodes is because you get to see more of everyone and he's PMing today so we'll see some of him in this episode at least. My general impression is reasonably positive and he seems intelligent enough to do well in whatever after the show.

I've rated Jordan since his buffalo meat idea. I think he's a strong candidate however his relationship with Luisa is distorting his contributions I think, e.g. the way he supported her in trouncing Francesca as PM. I don't like that sort of behaviour and it makes me think a little less of him.

I think that if people haven't witnessed his contributions, they can't dislike him on that because that could well just be the editors. Two candidates who I really rated are Lohit Kalburgi and Patrick McDowell, even though not many other people would rate them because anything good that they did was skimmed over. I think with a programme like this, you need to watch actively and not passively; to really notice the good people, you need to think less about how much they are onscreen and more about what they are doing when they are.

Before the series, I had Jordan down as being a possible finalist, due to being similar to Tom P in that he seems to be a technology/ideas guy.

I think he did well in the first 5 weeks, but then has dropped off the radar a bit.

Week 1 - wasn't so much defending Jason in the BR but rather attacking Neil (which I thought was brilliant), not seen much otherwise.
Week 2 - not seen much but did well selling, had a few astute observations and was part of the sub-team that managed to successfully brew the beer.
Week 3 - brilliant job as PM. He was decisive, was able to shut down Zee when he wanted to pitch again, and the other guys noted he was structured and organised as a PM.
Week 4 - came up with the idea of the buffalo meat. Was pulled up in the BR about his winning celebration.
Week 5 - successfully halved the price of the oud, and essentially won the task for his team with that. Criticised in the BR for taking time to research.

Week 6 - seemed to team up with Luisa in mocking Fran's stint as PM. Did warn the girls about overspending but he wasn't listened to. LS criticised him about this and hinted to Fran that she should bring him in.

Week 7 - seen to not sell, although I don't think it was shown in a negative light.

He's PM for Endeavour tonight so that should be interesting. If he does a decent job as PM again then I could still see him in the final 5.

He was my favourite for the first few weeks but it has to be said that even when he was doing well his edit was somewhat unremarkable. It's never had those sparks, it was lukewarm at best.

Based on actual potential I think he's one of the top candidates, but his edit has been either mediocre or nit-picking of his bad points.

He's certainly among the two or three most competent. But his lack of prominence in the edit suggests he's not going to win.

Sugar really doesn't like Jordan does he?

Before he made his decision on which team won he literally pinpointed that Jordan will be fired if his team lose.

I agree....I never like him. He delegates well, but that's all really.

He's very good at delegating and not doing much himself - hangs too much in the background.

If Jordan gets to the interview process he'll be ripped to shreds.

Jordan got the 'backroom boy' edit today, which pretty much kills his overall chances dead.

Pity, but c'est la vie.

Funny that no one brings up that criticism until its raised blatantly on the edit of the show.

I thought the way he announced that he wanted to be team leader, after Alex had offered to do it, was a real low trick.

Aww... The candidates I like are always labelled as smug: Jamie Lester, Jade and now Jordan.

Because there's something a little bit creepy about him?

Like he's a Kewpie doll come to life, like Chucky from the Childs Play movies.
