BT Wi Fi problem since samsung software update.
A week or so back I downloaded a software update on my Galaxy Note. All was fine for a few days, then I started losing wi fi connectivity.
I connect via BT Wi Fi/Openzone, when accessing internet it usually asks me to log in to a BT Openzone page, and then I can get internet access fine. However, I don't seem to be able to connect at all to BT on my phone, it does ot load, neither does any other internet site. What is interesting is that when I check my wi fi connection settings on the phone, it shows as trying to connect to BT wi fi, but then shows an authentication error, finding IP address etc...and when trying to connect most of the time it just times out and shows no connection. I am beginning to think something may have changed with he BT Wi Fi connection or there may be problems with their wi fi, but there is nothing on their website about it. Before I go down the route of trying to speak to BT customer service etc, has anyone had similar issues? |

There is known wi-fi bug with Samsung, I had it with my SGS3 so it is nothing to do with your BT router. The weird thing is the bug only seems to happen when I was at home but I could connect to other routers ok. I'm not with BT btw I'm with Talk Talk using a D-LINK router. Samsung has also admitted the bug is in the new S4 as well
